For twenty minutes we sat around the peach tree and ate it's fruits. They were sweet and juicy. The most juicy fruit I've tasted in my life. Now I was appreciating the color seeing ability Jason had, and for some reason it was funny to me. I giggled and felt my face get red.
"What, ha ha, are you laughing about." Elwin chuckled. My laughter didn't stop for me to answer. I just kept laughing.
Jason's eyes went kind of lazy and snicker drunkenly, while mumbling about Elwin or something. It was all to hilarious to me. I busted out in laughter.
"Anne?" a familiar and concerned voice approached us. I turned around while wiping away a tear from my eye.
"Aries!" I said overly excited "this place is amazing." my giggle fit continued. "Don't tell me you ate the fruit." Aries put his hands on my shoulders. "Oh yes we did." I tapped his chin gingerly with my finger. Don't know why but I did.
Aries looked disappointed and said, "Mortals aren't suppose to be here."
Suddenly a scuffle could be heard from behind the tree. Aries pulled his whip and pulled me back.
"What!?" I whined as I tried to keep my stance. No response, how typical of him, but then again I'd be lying if I said the natural light didn't make him look intense and handsome. What is wrong with me?
Aries cracked his whip at Elwin and Jason and it catches them and pulls them to us. At the same time a star beast leaped out from behind the tree. It was a fox with deer horns and horse legs. A beautifully ugly creature.
"Stay here." Aries demanded before charging at the beast. How rude leaving us out of it. Then again I didn't want to fight... I might fall for him. Ayy... Something I really wrong with me.
Aries took hold of the beasts horns and flipped the thing on it's side. The ram star sign instantly tied the powerful horse legs of the beast together and turned to us.
However, upon looking at us his face was confused, but melted with approval. I realized he wasn't looking at me, and turned around to see Jason dipping Elwin and kissing him. Upon Elwin realizing what was happening made him freak out, and thus Jason dropped him to the floor.
In unison Aries and I said, "Nice." The sound of the star beast struggling to escape pulled Aries attention away from the two boys. The powerful hooves came loose and the beast tried to get up. Aries kneeled on it neck but it flipped him to his back.
The only thing that was keeping the sharp beast's teeth from biting the star sign's head off was the pure strength of his arms and legs.
It was no longer funny to me. I had to do something. The whip was just a few feet away, but then what? I analyzed the area quickly and saw there was a pillar with a carved statue of a dragon on top. It looked weak enough, but I was going to need help.
"Elwin, Jason!" I yelled and ran for the whip. Surprisingly the beast didn't mind me or the boys. It just kept snipping a Aries with it's sharp teeth.
As I ran past the fight and snatched the whip. Jason and Elwin caught up to me and watched as I cracked the whip at the pillar and it wrapped around the dragon statue on top.
"Come on you idiots help." I yelled at Jason and Elwin. They took hold of the whip with me and pulled. The pillar slowly budged inch by inch, until with one final pull it began to fall.
"Aries!" I shouted as the pillar fell. He saw it falling right toward him and the beast. His red Christmas glow shined brighter than usual cause the beast to step back. In a second Aries rolled away the star beast was crushed.
"Aries!" I ran to him and kneeled beside him as his light died down. "I'm fine, but what the hell were you thinking?" Aries scoffed. "I just saved you, you big dummy." I poked his chest.
"You could have gotten hurt." An unfamiliar voice growled out of the blue. "Who said that?" I scanned the room. "Nielsen Wire." Aries sat up and looked at his whip. "That's a whip." Jason smirked. "There's a flexible wire in it. The cause is to do more damage." Aries explain.
"Weapons don't talk." my voice became more irritated. "After all you've seen can you really deny it?" Aries got up and retrieved his whip.
He was right. This is just as possible as me living in space, so how could I say it doesn't make sense. I still felt angry at him, but I don't know why.
"Make sure you get out here... Okay? And never come back here." Aries face flushed redder than the red he was. "Hold on. What were those fruits? Yeah sure they're peaches, but why did it affect us like that?" I quickly said.
Aries didn't say anything at first but then said, "Passionfruit, so don't eat it again." before cracking Nielsen Wire and disappearing.
"Ew." Jason mumbled. "What?" Elwin looked at Jason concerned. "Nothing it's just that it must have been one passion party he's been holding." Jason laughed.
"Ew, you are disgusting Jason." Elwin scoffed. "You all are nasty." I hissed, "now let's get to finding those arrows."
We walked around the garden for about two hours, and just as I was about to go insane we found the exit. Thank the stars. I'll never go back there. Sincerely one of most uncomfortable things I've been through.
But with that behind us we can find those arrows.
