"Hey we don't want any trouble, this is just one big misunderstanding." Elwin frantically explained to the redhead. "Oh, yeah sure misunderstanding." the redhead mocked.
"It is a misunderstanding," I growled. Kyla didn't say anything. She just sat there crying.
"Since you guys seem to be new around here I won't hurt you that badly." the stranger stated raising a hand. Water collected in his hand creating a glove of water. He smirked and blew on his hand making the water turn to ice. Damn, I thought to try not to drool at his intensity.
"Chase no!" Kyla cried. Her cry wasn't soon enough because he was already heading toward us with a full sprint. Elwin jumped out of the way while stood there still trying to process his speed.
"Anne." Elwin called. I already knew he was trying to tell me to watch out but Chase was right in front of me. He went for a right hook, but I ducked under it and punched his stomach. Now for a moment I thought, that'll do it, but I realized I made a horrible mistake. How did I make a horrible mistake? Well, it all starts when you realize he had no reaction to the hit and pulls on your hair to meet his eye.
"Well, that failed for you didn't it?" Chase smirked. His icy green eye met mine. "You don't say." I hissed.
"STOP!" Kyla cried out. Chase's grip loosened on my hair. Before I could move away Kyla dog pilled us on Chase, but because he had was still in my hair, I went down too. And let me tell you it was like having something falling on your head. Like a cinder block.
"Please no Chase they didn't do anything." Kyla pounded on his chest. Elwin came to my side and assisted me up.
"What is going on here?" A familiar voice sneered at us. Cancer walked past Elwin and I and looked disapprovingly at the two on the floor. They just looked at him back in the same way. Kyla got on her knees allowing Chase to sit up. "It was a simple blunder." Kyla sniffed. "Uh-huh." Cancer sighed. Chase turned away and got up. "Then why were you crying?" The redhead murmured. "Her name is the same as my fake moms." Kyla pouted like a child. Chase let out a sigh of frustration. The young girl hugged the rageful boy from the back sniffing.
"I'll take care of the rest of the tour I suppose for now." Cancer groaned. Chase and Kyla walk away not looking back. "Come now Anne, Elwin." Cancer commanded. We wasted no time and continued our walk through the dense woods. Elwin grabbed my hand but I pulled away and winced in pain.
"Did I grab your hand too hard?" Elwin panicked. "No calm down. I think I fractured my hand when I punched him." I explained. "Chase will fix it when he sees you again." Cancer politely stated. "He can do that?" Elwin said with interest. "Yes, he is capable of it because of his father, Aquarius." Cancer interpreted.
"Why did my hand get fractured by punching him?" I rubbed my wrist tenderly. "He has a power above yours. Chase is prepared to take over for his father any year now because he completed a task of Aquarius." Cancer stated in a proud tone. "Task?" Elwin quivered. "Yes, each of you has a task to complete if you want to power up like Chase." Cancer replied.
"What was up with Chase's attitude anyway?" Elwin asked snapping a branch off a tree. "Kyla and Chase are cousins, and they both all have the power up. Kyla's, however, was traumatizing." The crab sign sighed. "But how-" I quickly covered Elwin's mouth and we all continued on the path.
It has been three hours and Ewlin and I were just heading to the camp area they said to go to when it was dinner time. We explored his home, and hang out after Cancer got us there. Leaving it to get food seem kind of wasteful considering there was a kitchen in the homes.
After twenty minutes of walking, we found the spot that Cancer told us to go to. Kyla and Chase were sitting side by side smiling and laugh at each other eating Raspberries off their fingertips. There were two others who I hadn't met before though. A boy and girl dressed the same. Both had black hair, a long piece of metal over their eye like a blindfold, and dress wise. Black long sleeve tops with yellow sleeves, some form of black pants and ankle high boots.
"Hey." I said nervously seating myself on the opposite side of the fire and Elwin did as well. They all looked at us confused. The twins looked at each other somehow and smiled back at me.
"You both are new here aren't you?" The boy twin asked. I nodded. "Welcome." The girl handed us plates of food. Chase rolled his eyes and shifted uncomfortably. Kyla wiggled his arm and pouted at him. He groaned and took back his arm.
"Sorry I got angry and attacked you guys." Chased mumbled before throwing a Raspberry in his mouth. "It's alright." I said picking up a piece of meat and putting it in my mouth. I'm kind of disappointed not see Cuties on my plate. Elwin picked around his food sluggishly.
A hand reached past my head and picked up a fruit. "Thank you." Aries' voice said walking to my left. I frowned at him. Stupid ram eating my food. Especially the fruit I love the fruit. How dare he eat my fruit.
Aries sat beside me and rested his arm on my shoulder. I moved my shoulder but he just got on it again.
"Chase I believe you have something to do." Aries gestured to me. Chase looked at me. His red hair covered one eye and he flipped it out of the way. "Ew." Chase simply stated and looked back down. "You know what I mean you boiling ice cube." Aries raised a brow clearly annoyed. "I already apologized." Chase growled. Aries cocked his head at the boiling ice cube, lol. "Oh, that." Chased acted surprised.
"What does he have to do?" I asked. Chase came over to me and kneeled. "Which hand?" He asked sternly. I raised it slowly and he took it into his. His icy eye gazed into mine. I could feel my heart beat faster than ever before. His face was flushed. Chase blew on my hand and a light frost covered my hand but it wasn't cold, but warm. Frost swirls surrounded my palms then melted.
"Wow." I flex my hand. He smiled a bit but snapped out of it quickly before going back to his spot. I look at my hand once more and continue to eat with everyone.
