For what seemed like forever, Niall didn’t say anything at all. He just looked at me with a strange expression on his face. I didn’t say anything either, because crazily, I didn’t want to break the moment. I couldn’t help but think what moment? It was all just a big, stupid, meaningless mistake and I absolutely shouldn’t have done it in the first place. I shouldn’t have done it, I shouldn’t have let him do it, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to.

I shouldn’t have wanted to either.

Niall continued to look at me almost calculatingly as he bit his lip slightly. Slowly he moved a hand up to my face but he changed his mind and stopped almost immediately, dropping his hand to his side.

“I mean what is this even all about?” I asked again, even more shakily.

I would have been lying if I’d said I wasn’t afraid of what his answer would be.

“I d-” he eventually started.

“Liam, Niall we need to go!” Harry said as he walked through the door.

Hadn’t the idiot ever thought of knocking? Then again it wasn’t like Harry had any sense of modesty or privacy, seeing as he was casually walking around naked half the time.  In fact it was probably even more than half the time knowing Harry.

For a few seconds Niall stared at me in fear, and I had no idea what to do, because what could I do when I was pushed up against a wall, with Niall’s face practically pressed against mine and my heart beating louder than I could possibly imagine? I couldn’t think right and there wasn’t any time to be sensible. My usual plan was flawed and for once I didn’t know what I was supposed to be doing to stop Harry from seeing whatever it was we were doing.

I said whatever it was, because I honestly didn’t understand the situation.

Finally Niall moved and jolted away from me in blind panic.

 “Oh. Oh.

From what Harry was saying Niall had been just a fraction too late. Harry grinned broadly as he took in the situation and looked at both of us in turn.

“I’m sorry if I, erm, interrupted anything that might have been going on but we have to leave to go see management for an update on the whole Lilo thing. They probably just want to say what a bad idea it was or something like that. Or maybe find out how to destroy the relationship as soon as possible. On the other hand, they could want you and Louis to marry each other.” he explained, trying to suppress an even wider smile.

What confused me was that although Harry was bemused, and even seemed a little surprised, he wasn’t fazed by it at all. He seemed happy in a way, and that didn’t make sense at all.

Niall coughed slightly.

“You weren’t interrupting anything, I was just...” Niall trailed off.

“He was teaching me how to,” I searched. “Do something...”

Harry raised an eyebrow questioningly and smirked slightly. I thought he was going to say something about it, but he left it.

“Ah, okay. Come on then.” he said, motioning towards the door.

Niall and I followed him downstairs where Louis and Zayn were waiting impatiently.

“It’s about time!” Zayn said.

“They just had to sort some things out.” Harry said wryly.

“Okay let’s go now, before they think that we’ve died or something.” Louis said.

“If they did they’d probably bring us back to life just to kill us again.” Niall muttered.
