Jongin leaned forward, hoping to catch a glimpse of the stranger. He thinks this wasn't considered as stalking or being a pedophile, it was more like observing. He never wanted to observe so bad, for the stranger caught his eye like nobody else. The stranger boards the bus and finds for his seat, eyes darting here and there, before landing on Jongin's curious ones. Jongin bites his lips and looks away, hoping the stranger wouldn't question him on his observance. He found his seat and sits two rows in front of Jongin, and the sudden melodious sound of his laughter rose between his friends and him.

The stranger arrived 3 days ago, when Jongin was just a small empty being in a wide wide world. Which was why he felt this way. After the stranger came, he felt as if the world belonged to him. He felt as if he wasn't a disregarded and ignored figure on the sidewalk anymore, he felt alive. More alive than he had ever been.

"Kyungsoo-ah you're not forgetting our meeting later right?"

"Kyungsoo...Kyungsoo..." Jongin whispers his name continuously like a prayer. His name felt sweet on his tongue and sounded like a song. He thinks its magical that someone's name could be so perfect. He could no longer hear Kyungsoo's laughter, and Jongin could see him resting his chin on his hand and looking out of the window at the brown patches of grass their neighborhood held. His eyes reflected the scenery and were dark but his lips held a small smile.

He looked like an angel in every way but the only jealousy Jongin had was towards Kyungsoo's friends.

The bus jerked and Kyungsoo's bangs fell slightly into his face before Jongin had realized that he had fallen asleep. From two seats behind him, he spent the rest of the journey observing Kyungsoo's sleeping figure and Jongin thinks he's beautiful. He continued his silent admiration until Kyungsoo wakes up and realizes he missed his stop, he continued his admiring until the bus driver stopped at the nearest bus station for Kyungsoo, he continued observing until Kyungsoo had gone off the bus and completely disappeared from sight.

Jongin returns home to find Sehun lying on the couch, eyes lifelessly glued to a muted animal documentary. "Hey. You've been indoors all day. Go out. Do something."

Sehun sighed in response and moved his arm so that it covered his eyes. Jongin stared at the lean motionless frame of Sehun before sighing himself too, and heading upstairs. He dug out his book Persuasion ,thinking that maybe if he got his mind back together now he would pass that damned literature exam.

He was halfway finishing memorizing the characteristics of Anne Elliot when he heard the soft click of the front door. He looked up, and expected Sehun to be there. Idiot. Jongin thinks to himself. He must have left. Why would he be in your room?

Jongin made his way down to the window next to the front door and noticed that Sehun wasn't going out with a jacket. It was nearing winter and the weather was cold enough to make one run back home but apparently to Sehun, it didn't bother him. Jongin's heart fell a little at the thought of Sehun's leaving him alone in this empty cold house he had purchased so carelessly a few years ago, and was about to turn when he caught sight of a lonely figure by the dark lamppost directly opposite his house.

"Kyungsoo." Jongin breathes. What was he doing there at this time of the night?

Jongin wasn't the type of person that would waste time on thinking twice. He preferred the method of just getting what he wanted over and done with. So pulling on his jacket, he headed out to the streets.

Jongin squinted his eyes. Kyungsoo was alone at the streetlights and he looked like he was waiting for someone. Only Jongin couldn't think of who. He was just a mere 5 metres away from Kyungsoo and he could already feel his heart racing, his mind forming questions to ask, and his lips almost bleeding from biting it too hard from nervousness. In fact, he was so nervous that he did not realize that Kyungsoo was looking at him.

"Do you need any help?" Kyungsoo asked, pulling Jongin roughly out of his trauma. Jongin, on the other hand, has million of things he wanted to say to Kyungsoo, but instead he shook his head and turned, walking back across the street, feeling as lousy as hell.

Next morning, Jongin had taken a seat in his usual spot in the seat when Kyungsoo boarded the bus. Jongin had purposefully wore one of his best shirts today -and proudly the most expensive, and he's the type that rarely spends $20 on clothes- and practiced smiling and infinite number of times in front of his mirror this morning.

So when Kyungsoo silently onto the carpeted-floor bus, Jongin shifted, trying to catch his eye.

Unfortunately, he failed.

Kyungsoo swings himself on the seat 2 rows in front of Jongin and Jongin eavesdrops. His friends tell jokes, but Kyungsoo smiles politely, and doesn't laugh. Kyungsoo stares emptily out of the window.

Jongin's stop was before Kyungsoo's this time as he had to visit his aunt, which called him several times this morning to remind him -much to his annoyance- and obviously, he had to head over to her house so she could shut up about it.

"Excuse me!...Jongin?" His heart leaped when he finally heard Kyungsoo's angelic voice, and burst into stars when he realized that Kyungsoo had said his name.

"I think you dropped this?" Kyungsoo picked up a polaroid of Sehun and himself, during one of their school's annual campout. Sehun had written a message for him on the polaroid later, when he wasn't looking.

"Forever in your heart, and you are forever in mine. Hehe. I take it back, you suck, Jongin."

Jongin smiles at Kyungsoo and mentally cursed himself for not giving the perfect smile he rehearsed this morning. "Thanks." His fingers brushed against the other and Jongin was at the point of mental breakdown. Nobody said love was so fatal.

"You seemed flustered. What is it?" Before Jongin's aunt could even finish her sentence, he knew she was going to comment about his expression. His bare encounter with Kyungsoo has already left him in shock and he figures it would be quite a while before he returns to his normal state.

"I...I think I'm in love."

Jongin's aunt laughed. Her laugh sounded like his late mother, and reminds him of flowers and happiness.

"With?"

At this point Jongin hesitated. He wasn't sure that he was going to come out and bring shame to the family or lie and let his aunt rest in peace.

"This girl in my school." He mumbled.

"Have you confessed to her yet?"

"He- She doesn't even know me that well! We've only talked...twice." Last night was counted right?

"And you like her?" Jongin's aunt's eyes widened in bewilderment.

"Yes. I honestly I don't know what to do. I'm terrible at relationships."

"Then you should confess. But I don't think you should take it too fast, I mean you only conversed twice." Once actually. "But if you really want to make your feelings known, then you should confess."
