Baby stared at her outfit in the mirror, tilting her head to the side, still not satisfied.

"Luís!"

The small five year old's steps could be heard and Baby turned to face her little brother, her hands showing off her outfit.

"Te gusta?" She asked, her tone unsure.

"Valentina es muy bonita!" He cheered, clapping his hands.

The oldest Martinez smiled and kissed her brother on the cheek, sending him away with five dollars that she spotted sticking out of Ruby's black hoodie that laid on her bed.

After her emotional encounter with Oscar, she decided to get dressed for whatever it was her and Demarcus were supposed to be doing.

And possibly, get drunk and do something reckless to get her mind off a certain cholo.

"Truth."

Demarcus picked up Baby from her house early in the evening. The two traveled from the inner city all the way to some beach that Baby didn't recognize.

They roamed the beach, the surrounding hills, watched people from inside his car, and during the sunset, he drove to the top of the highest point they could reach to watch.

Now, it was golden hour, the sun shining a dark orange, and the two were playing truth or dare.

"Such a girl.." Demarcus laughed, earning slap in the arm.

"Just go." Baby shook her head with a smile, bringing the beer can to her lips.

The infamous smirk, that Baby knew and undeniably adored, appeared on his face and it scared her for a moment but realized that this game was only to be feared when it was being played with people that aren't trustworthy.

She felt safe with Demarcus, but the smirk on his face was telling her otherwise.

"Who was your first kiss?"

The blonde furrowed her brows, expecting a much harder question.

However, once she actually realized who her first kiss was, she nodded knowingly. She cleared her throat before placing the cheap beer in the cup holder next to her.

"It was Oscar. We were in the sixth grade," She bit her bottom lip, thinking extra hard, "and I think, back then I was taller than him so he had to stand on his backpack." Baby's smile was inevitable due to the hilarious and sweet memory the two shared.

Oscar wouldn't hit his growth spurt until the following summer, so Baby had two or three inches on him.

"Cute." Demarcus nodded.

His facial expression contradicted his words since he thought he knew her answer. But, surprisingly, Demarcus' move on Baby in the ninth grade wasn't her first encounter with a boys' lips. Her first kiss belonged to none other than the Oscar Diaz, and that didn't sit well with the Prophet member.

"Alright," Baby attempted to move on, "Truth or-"

"Was he any good?" He cut her off.

Baby was taken aback by his sudden question. Not that she didn't know the answer, because she definitely did, the kiss was in sixth grade! It wasn't good in any way. It was awkward, and wet in the wrong places and just plain messy.

"You already asked your question." Her eyes narrowed at him.

Sighing, Demarcus complied, "Dare."

Baby contemplated whether or not to go easy on him. Having not seen him since she was nineteen, she wasn't exactly sure of what he was scared of per se. Her mind traveled back to their high school days, but still, nothing seemed daring enough.

Then, she remembered why she was even in his car in the first place. So she did what she had to: forget.

With a smirk, Baby confidently spoke, "I dare you to kiss me."

Within seconds, Demarcus lifted her onto him, his excitement evident. Baby's legs were on both sides of the Prophet's thighs. Her hands on his cheeks as she stared down at his lips.

He teasingly brought his mouth to hers, lightly taking her bottom lip in between his teeth and pulling slightly. He let go and placed a soft kiss on her mouth. Desperately wanting more, she took the lead and kissed him. Their mouths moved in sync once he slipped his tongue in.

Moans filled the car when Demarcus had moved down to Baby's neck, leaving a dark purple spot, visible to anyone who wasn't blind. His large hands gripped her waist, pulling her down more, leaving no space  between his crotch and hers.

It was safe to say that the heated make-out session, which lasted for ten minutes, most definitely did not make her forget about her cholo.

In fact, he was the only one on her mind while she was kissing another man. And that absolutely terrified her.
