Lestat:
I had lost my compass and found myself wont of direction, but I am a survivor. My Darwinian instinct has resurfaced, and I'm beginning to experience restoration. With that has come a realignment to the ideals and philosophies to which I'd long subscribed. Yes, my dear friend, I'm starting to see Chloe in the mirror again. I'm returning to form, once again pondering the mysteries of the universe, the presence of its dichotomy. And what I've discovered—having recently reached such personal lows—is that certain things, like life and death, shall remain mysteries. They are because they just are. Just as you have been, my darling Lestat.
As always, you have been here when I needed you most, and I shall remain eternally grateful. It is time for me, however, to stand on my own again. To re-emerge stronger...better...more prolific. It is time for me to live, knowing that if ever I'm confronted with valleys, you will be waiting in the shadows. My lover. My friend. My dark knight.
Forever yours,
~ Chloe
