*Travis' POV*

Practice was fun, it lasted a little longer than regular because we worked on team drills to better our chemistry on the court. I can't wait until November for our first game... I feel like our team is gonna go places.

I was changing shoes in the locker room when my phone started getting alerts by the millisecond. I ignored it until I got out the gym; they can wait. It was probably my sister going off anyway.

"I seen you with that crossover, pretty boy." Derryck patted my shoulder. I was working on my crossovers alone, he must have watched.

"It's getting better." I nodded, finishing with tying my shoe laces.

"You tryna break ankles out here like you Kyrie." He commented. I just laughed and grabbed my bag. I can't wait until I get to the apartment, I'm ready to take a big ass nap. I walked outside the gym and got in my truck when someone stopped me.

"Travio!" He called. I couldn't make out their face, but I recognized the voice.

"Aye man, you left your headband." Brandon walked up to my truck, and I rolled the window down. He handed me my blue nike headband to match the school's color.

"Dang, good looking out." I grabbed it from him and threw it on. I was probably gonna forget it again if I sat it in my car.

"No problem. Don't leave your stuff again, cause next time I ain't gone feel like running out here." He advised. Brandon always been one of my closest teammates; we played in high school together all four years.

"You just lazy B. I appreciate it though." I started the car and he nodded.

"Ight, be safe." He walked back into the gym and I rolled my windows back up, then drove to the apartment.

*Irene's POV*

Travis just got home and ordered us some pizza, he can be the best brother ever when he wants to. I have an interview tomorrow to work at Coach, my dad didn't want me to work during school but he doesn't understand I want to start being independent. Travis should too, but he doesn't have the time, especially since he plays basketball.

"I didn't know what kind you liked." He opened the Domino's box and inside was supreme pizza.

"You know cheese is my favorite." I blankly stared at him. He shrugged and I grabbed a slice anyway, picking off the excess food I don't eat.

"You got something to do tomorrow?" Travis asked. I shook my head. "My friends wanna go to Topgolf."

"I have an interview tomorrow at 4; What time is it?" I responded, I have nothing better to do before the interview and it beats staying at home bored.

"6 o'clock." He said standing up, and throwing away his plate.

"I might make it. Just probably gonna be late." I replied.

"Okay, I'll pay for you, then just tell them you'll be at our bay." He informed. He's being extra nice today, it's weird.

My interview went really good. The woman was nice and sounded convinced, but they honestly always do. They'll tell me if I got the job later this week, or the beginning of next. When I got home I changed clothes into something more comfortable and put my hair down.

*Jocelyn's outfit*

I walked into the Topgolf and talked to the lady at the front.

"I'm here with Travis ... Reeves." I told her. I didn't know how this worked at all.

"Oh, someone from earlier told me their sister was coming. You're Jocelyn?" She asked.

"Yes, that's me." I nodded.

"He already paid for you this hour, they're at bay 328."

"Thank you." I looked over at the golf courses and walked to where I saw the 300's, on the bottom floor. I could see my brother and a few other people, including that guy I bumped into on campus a few days ago and Naomi. I'm glad she came because I didn't know anybody else here.

"You finally made it. Y'all this my sister, Jocelyn." He hugged and introduced me. They all spoke to me; atleast I know they're nice.

"My bestiee!" Naomi gave me a hug.

"It's my turn but you got next." Travis said. I nodded. I don't even know how to play golf. Naomi and I sat down at the table, where everyone else was.

"I never thought I'd see you again." The tall guy said to me. He's starting to look like I know him from elsewhere. "What's yo name?"

"Jocelyn. You?" I answered.

"Brandon." I heard his name before, Naomi was telling me about him a few days ago; he played basketball with my brother.

"You went to Kinston?"

"Yeah." I wonder why I haven't really payed attention to him, cause he was fine.

"It's your turn, sis." Travis yelled. I gave Brandon a look and walked to Travis, he handed me the golf club and taught me how to swing. I swung it a little too hard and missed the furthest hole.

"You're not as bad as I thought." He chuckled. I just rolled my eyes.

The remainder of the night was fun, I had a good time and it looked like everyone else did too. Brandon and I talked more and became friends, but my brother was peeping it the whole time. We exchanged numbers, but I wasn't gonna text him first, because I'm interested in him on the low. I'm just not sure how my brother would feel about me dating his teammate.

Brandon gave me a hug before I left and Naomi instigated the whole thing; She is so extra. I went back to the apartment and showered before easily falling asleep, I have three classes tomorrow and we're starting the lessons so I need to be up and on time.

This took so long to work on because I was brainstorming what should I do for this one . It's not that good but I tried😪
