Jisoo
"You don't smoke? Why are you lying to Jinnie? It's not good to lie especially when you were caught smoking just now. He was only giving you his sincere advice as a friend."
This little bitch!
I wanted to rip her hair out from her scalp. How dare she lies and try to pin it onto me. I directed my attention back to Jin and scanned his face that was filled with disappointment. I suddenly felt the urge to cry. Here was the gorgeous Seokjin who I desire, and yet with just a few words from his girlfriend, he wouldn't believe me.
I was done at this point. I didn't want anything to do with Choi Sunni or Kim Seokjin anymore.
"It wasn't mine," I dare to respond back to Jin. My breathing was still not natural since his presence is the very cause of my breathing difficulty. I met eyes with Sunni and frown at the girl.
"Why don't you ask your girl-" Sunni moves close to me and covers my mouth and begin to act all drunk and giggly.
"It's okay Jisoo. All is forgiven. Right, Jinnie?" She turns to face her boyfriend and was disgustingly attempting to act all cutesy to Jin and I wanted to vomit the shots that I had drunk earlier right onto her.
"You'll forgive my friend for lying. Please, baby? Don't fire her and give her another chance. She's my friend."
"Okay, babe. But only because you asked. Let's go, I don't want to stay here any longer," Jin voiced out as he embraced Sunni by her waist. They both whirled around and walked away from me. Once they reach the door, Jin held the door open while slightly twisting his head to the side to speak to me.
"Assistant Min, please call me Mr. Kim from now on."
The door shut close and I began to exhale normally again. I started coughing violently because of the smoke and pounded at my chest. His last words cut deep into my beating muscle as I remember what he had said to me when we were first getting to know each other.
'Just call me Jin. You're a friend of Sunni's so you are also a friend of mine.'
He didn't want to be my friend anymore. He drew the line when he asked for me to call him Mr. Kim. His words hurt way more than it should have. And before I knew it, tears were staining my cheeks, falling out from my tear duct.
"I believe you."
I sniffle and wiped away the hurt and angry tears. I had forgotten that the other Kim brother was still around and witnessed everything. I met his gaze and he was beaming that boxy smile of his at me.
"A smoker wouldn't be having trouble breathing when smoking so I believe you when you said you don't smoke."
I smile kindly back to the younger brother. I haven't spoken to Taehyung since our first encounter, but hearing his words strangely made me feel a lot better.
"Thank you Taehyung."
"Call me Taehyung Oppa."
"Taehyung Oppa?"
"Yes, because I'm still older than you by a year. I would like to get to know you a little more. You're a really interesting girl, you know that?"
"Thanks, but I'll no longer be working for Kim's Corporation. I'm going to hand in my letter of resignation on Monday. You have a good night sir."
I gave Taehyung a small nod before heading towards the door to pull it open, only for Taehyung to push the door shut. Shocked at his action, I whirled around and realized how close he was to me.
Too close.
His long arm had pushed the door shut and was near my face, blocking my left side. I attempted to get away from him through the right, but he swiftly lifts his other arm to block my right side, trapping me in between him and the door. Both his elbow bends as he leans in, nearing my face. It caused me to back up until my back and head were flat up against the door. I could smell the alcohol on his breath as he spoke to me.
"Just because you quit, doesn't mean that we have to stop seeing each other."
I ignore the male in front of me and slid down the door, promptly ducking and trying to escape from him, but Taehyung caught hold of my arms and pull me back up to meet his brown orbs. He traps me in the same situation, but this time I was pinned to the door by his hands and I couldn't move.
"You know, a lot of girls would die to be in your position right now. Are you telling me that you don't want to be friends with me?"
"I don't want anything to do with you Kim brothers or Sunni. So just leave me alone."
A smirk spread upon his lips and he moves in even closer towards my face.
"You like my Hyung, don't you?"
It was as if time has stopped and the only thing I could hear was the thumping of my own heart. The mention of Jin had caused me to abruptly feel weak. My chests started rising and I was slowly panting. That stupid breathing dilemma of mine had come back. A small chuckle escaped his lips.
"I knew it. I've seen the way you stare at Jin Hyung. I can see the desire in your eyes. You want him, just as much as I want Sunni. We can support each other to get what we both truly want. How about it? Are you willing to help me break Jin Hyung and Sunni apart?"
I frown at Taehyung and scoffed in disbelief. What the hell is wrong with everyone?! What is so good about that lying, no good, of a person? I roughly push Taehyung away and surprisingly he backed away willingly.
"You're wrong. I don't like your Hyung. I never did and I never will. I only took this job offer because I needed the money. But no amount of money would keep me here working for your messed up family."
I spun around, pull the door open, and ran away from him before he could try anything else with me.
When I got home, it was already past 2 in the morning. I saw that Yoongi Oppa was still up and was watching a movie. I took off my shoe and walk over to my brother to sit down next to him.
"Oppa, why aren't you asleep yet?"
"I was waiting for you to come home. How was work tonight? No one tried to do anything with you now did they?"
I chuckled at his remark. Oppa had been even more protective of me ever since I started working in the bar, always asking if any guys were trying to hit on me or if there were rude customers.
"No, they didn't Oppa. Why are you so worried anyway? No one would like me. I'm not pretty like Choi Sunni."
"Good. That way you'll stay my baby sis for a long time then," he patted my head before ruffling them.
"Oppa! Stop it. I'm tired so I'm going to go to bed first. Don't stay up too late."
"I told you I was just waiting for you. I'm going to go to sleep too."
Yoongi Oppa switched off the TV and we both proceeded up the stairs and to our own rooms. But before going into his bedroom, Oppa calls out to me.
"Good night Minji."
I smiled back at Oppa before answering him.
"Good night Mingi Oppa."
I enter my room and locked the door behind me. I switched into my PJs and crawled into bed. I tried not to think about what had occurred earlier with Sunni and the Kim brothers. My body was too exhausted to be pondering about people who were never intended to be in my life. So instead, I shut my eyes and soon let the still of the night and darkness fall upon me as I fall into a deep slumber.
To Be Continued...
Author's Note:
For anyone who's wondering about the names that Yoongi and Jisoo are calling each other, I took the Min from their surname and added Ji from Jisoo's name and Gi from YoonGi. So we get Minji and Mingi. It's a nickname that the siblings call each other. 😊
Double update for you all. 😁😁😁
