Jisoo

After calming down from my mini-breakdown, I silently waited in Sunni's office for her to show up. Once she finally appeared, I stood up from my chair to greet her and remained standing, waiting for her to sit down in her chair across from me.

"Well, good morning to you Jisoo, aren't you here early today? Why are you here in my office even before I am?"

I didn't bother to answer her nor did I sit back down. Instead, I handed my letter of resignation to her. She took the letter from me and just blankly stared at it for a second before looking back up at me.

"What is this?" She asks.

"It's my letter of resignation," I firmly respond back to her not breaking our eye contact.

"Hmm, Interesting. Well then, where's my money?"

I tried to keep my face still and steady, but I lost it when she asked about money.

"What money?"

"I paid you a month's worth in advance just last week. If you want to quit, pay me back in full and I'll accept your letter, or were you planning on just quitting and keeping the money? I didn't know you were that kind of person Jisoo."

I was at a loss for words. The money was with my parents and I'm pretty sure they already used it this past weekend to pay for some bills. I instantly regretted not thinking this far ahead that she would ask for the money back. I was desperate to quit as soon as I can so I could escape her and the brothers.

"I don't have the money anymore. I'll pay you ba-"

"No money? Then I'm not accepting this."

She tore the letter into tiny pieces and toss them into the trashcan by her right side. She puts her hands on top of her desk and leans in towards me to speak.

"Listen Jisoo, I'm going to be honest with you, and I'm sure by now you already know what I need from you. Stay one more month for me to make up for the money that I already paid you. After this month, I'll let you go."

One more month? I don't know if I'll survive another month working for her.

"You know what kind of person I am. I smoke, drink often, I like to go out to parties, and I still want to have fun. But Jinnie doesn't know any of this. I need you to cover up for me and help me maintain my image in front of Jin."

I could not believe what I was hearing from her. I stare down at the girl in disbelief. Now, the truth ultimately comes out from her own mouth. She really has never changed from the past. There was no amount of money that she could pay me to help her lie to Jin, I wasn't going to do it.

"I don't want to," I replied coldly back to Sunni.

"I already told you Jisoo, give me back my money in full and you wouldn't have to," she smirked knowing damn well that I don't have any money to give back to her.

"Just one more month. Just until I can find someone else to replace you. Come on, do it for an old friend."

Friend? Friend my butt.

"Why can't you just be honest with Jin? If he truly loves you, he would accept you just the way you are."

"Oh, sweet naive Jisoo. I know Jinnie loves me and he will accept me in any way or form. But Jinnie is going to inherit the company. He's got a lot of eyes on him and the people around him. I can't be caught doing all the things I want to. It'll ruin his reputation."

What Sunni had just said caught my attention. She was correct to a certain point. Jin was next to become CEO of Kim's Corporation and if his partner was a lying little bitch who smokes, drinks, and likes to bully people, he would be one of the hottest news to spread across South Korea. I could care less about what could happen to Sunni, but when it comes to Jin, I'm weak as hell.
