Ok so in my experience, these are some helpful advantages that have happened to me!
-special treatment in gym class....not that I ever used it..okay maybe I did, but I promise it was rarely!
-sometimes people are nicer to you, but in my case this is because they feel sorry for you and want to help in any way they can.
-If my stump would be hurting or anything like that, I could get out of doing certain things/activities or even not have to go to school (which was pretty awesome, but at the same time not really since I was still in pain). I could also get this pain by walking/standing for long periods of time...Cedar Point is a NIGHTMARE! (for those of you who may not know what cedar point is, it's a HUGE roller coaster/amusement park that you have to walk everywhere you go).
-when I would get a rash or whatever and couldn't wear my leg at all, I have to keep my leg off and put some aveno lotion on it with a sock, basically not being able to move for however long it takes for the rash to go away or calm down some.
-you can freak out your friends and turn your "leg" 360 degrees! (have fun seeing their reactions of horror/disgust/humor)
