The door slams and I immediately knew that my brother was home.
"Well there goes all my peace and quiet." I mumble to myself.
I love him and all; I mean, he's my baby brother, what do you expect? He's two years younger than me and we've been taking care of each other ever since we were put in the foster care program.
When we both finally became of age to make our own damn decision, we didn't hesitate. He works as a public relations specialist and I work as scriptwriter. With both our incomes combined, we are living the good life.
It's as I said, I love him the to death, but he literally has no regard for anything that isn't his. He breaks almost everything he touches, sometimes they are accidents and other times they're not.
"Ebele, I'm home!" He calls.
"Atsu, how many times do I have to tell you about how to close the door?!" I snap as I walk out of my room.
I freeze in my spot once I see Atsu standing next to Prince T'Challa. They've been friends for about a year now, but even to this day I haven't grown accustomed to him spending the night or being in my house, period.
Not to mention how insanely attractive he is. There's just something about his twinkling, chocolate brown eyes that just sparks something in me.
"T'Challa, hi! Sorry for the yelling." I say as I link my arms behind my back.
"I still don't understand why she's nicer when you're here." Atsu says as he walks up the stairs.
"Well is obvious as to why." I say, glowering at him as he walked passed me.
Atsu takes off his shirt that was drenched in his sweat. They were probably out playing basketball again. To be honest, I never understood the sport. Probably because I had sucky catching skills and can't shoot to save my life.
I walk into the kitchen to get an apple when all of a sudden, I find myself lifted upon the kitchen counter. Before I could even react, T'Challa warms lips are on mine.
His massive hands cup my hips as he hums into the kiss. My eyes flutter closed and I wrap my arms around his neck. I nearly fall under his spell once I realized that Atsu could walk in on us at any minute.
I pull away from the kiss and push on his chest slightly.
"T'Challa! Atsu could walk in here any minute!" I say in a whisper.
"Atsu is in the shower, which means we have about 15-20 minutes to ourselves." He says in his normal calm and smooth voice.
He playfully clenches his jaw as I gaze up into his eyes. He pulls my body closer to his and wraps my legs around his waist.
"It's been two days since I last saw you. I wanted to catch up. How's your column doing?" He asks.
"It's going well." I respond.
"How's it's going in the Royal Palace?" I ask.
He sighs before he presses another kiss on my lips.
"There's a Meeting in Vienna, about what happened in Lagos. I was planning on inviting you and Atsu but then I realized that Atsu cannot keep a straight face for five seconds." He states.
"That's Atsu for ya." I say with a smile.
The small crease in between his eyebrows deepens in thought accompanied by a look in his eyes that I am all too familiar with.
"T'Challa." I warn, already knowing what he was going to ask.
"How long do we have to keep this a secret?" He asks.
I sigh and say:
"I don't... I don't know. I already know what his reaction is going to be. The fact that I am dating his best friend would question his trust for me. He wouldn't trust me enough to bring another one of his friends home because he thinks that I might hook up with them too."
"As his brother, he should care that you are happy. Not whether or not you're dating his best friend. And as for the 'hooking up' thing, I'm not going anywhere so there's no other guy. If any man were to try, they will fail." He says.
"Oh yeah?" I say, biting my lips at his words.
"Fine, I will tell him after the meeting in Vienna." I add.
A smile tugs on his lips before he says:
"Really?"
I nod and he lifts me off of the counter. He spins me around and I cup his cheeks before I kiss him.
"I think this calls for a celebration." He says against my lips.
"What kind of celebration did you have in mind?" I ask.
He walks me up the stairs and kicks me door closed. He locks the door and I hop off his waist.
I gently push him on the bed and straddle his waist. He looks up at me with a glint of mischief in his eyes. He pulls me down for kiss and presses my back against the bed. He lifts up my shirt and kisses up my shirt as he links his hand with mine.
One of the many things that is amazing about T'Challa, is that he doesn't do quickies. He likes to take his time, which makes it incredibly better. He pulls my shirt up over my head and moves to kiss my neck.
I close my eyes and tug on the back of his neck. My blood runs cold in my veins when I hear the door jiggle.
"Ebele, do you knew where T'Challa is?" Atsu asks.
T'Challa opens his mouth to speak and I immediately slap my hand over his mouth. I flips us over so I was on top and I say:
"I have no idea where he is."
"Why did I hear moans?" Atsu asks.
My mouth gapes open and T'Challa's almost released a laugh. I silently shush him before I say:
"Well, I was watching Grey's Anatomy. You know how that goes."
"Oh, well I'll call him I guess. We were suppose to go a meeting in Vienna." He says through the door.
"Okay, I'll start getting ready then." I say.
"I'll meet you at the Royal Palace then." He says.
"Sure."
Once I hear his footsteps descend down the stairs and him close the door, I take my hand off of T'Challa's mouth.
"You were saying about 'having 15-20 minutes to ourselves'?" I ask.
"Well now we have more than 20 minutes to ourselves." He adds as he flips us over and presses another kiss on my lips.
