Ginny's P.O.V:

I dragged my trunk down the stairs. Today is the day that I finally follow in my family's footsteps and join the Gryffindor House at Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. I can't believe that I'm finally eleven and able to go. I was running down the stairs so fast that I flew and skidded on my backside across the floor at the bottom of the staircase. I bumped into someone's legs, looking up sheepishly I saw a boy about a year older staring at me under dark raven colored hair.

"Hi Ginny." The boy said while holding out his hand to help me stand up.

     "Hi, Harry Potter." I replied.

I grabbed the handle of my trunk and pushed and pulled it into the kitchen. I dragged it towards the pile of trunks and bags. I walked to my seat at the table and sat down. My mother, Molly Weasley walked towards me and kissed my on the forehead with silent tears coming out the corner of her eyes she happily stated, "My baby girl is going to make all of us proud, joining Gryffindor and following her family's legacy. I laughed out loud and looked at my brothers Percy, the twins Fred and George, Ron, and his best friend Harry Potter.

I shyly looked up at Harry, I've had the biggest crush on him since the first time I met him last year. He had looked so shy and lost, he didn't even know who he was. "The Boy Who Lived." Everyone in the magical world knew Harry Potter and about He Who Should Not be Named.

I was lost in thought thinking about Harry, going through platform 9&3/4, getting to Hogwarts, and the sorting hat everyone says that I don't even need to put the hat on, obviously I am going to be Gryffindor all my family is and has been for as long as everyone can remember.

It is impossible for me to not be Gryffindor. Everyone I love and have ever known are Gryffindor. I can't begin to imagine where I would be and what would happen to me if I were to be placed in a different house. I know that my parents would not mind as much if I turned out to be Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw....but no I shake the image out of my head. My parents would be absolutely crushed if I were to be placed in Slytherin.

"Ginny! Come on! Snap out of it! We need to leave or we will be late."

Everyone was grabbing trunks, wands, and brooms trying to push everything into the back of my father, Arthur Weasley's muggle vehicle. We all piled in and drove to the train station. My body started shaking thinking about running through to platform 9&3/4. I was so excited, I could not wait to make my family proud.

We finally made it, we rushed to the platform and before I knew what had happened we were at the Hogwarts train. My father gave me a hug, and my mother kissed my forehead. Dad looked down at my and said, "Make us proud Ginny, no matter what happens we will always love you".

With those words I entered the train, not looking back. I searched for a compartment to sit in. All of them being full I opened one last one and my eyes landed on bright platinum blonde hair. He looked familiar, and then something snapped in me, this boy is a Malfoy. With that thought I took off running.

I kept running until I was at the other ending of the train. I ran right into Hermione Granger, Ron and Harry Potter's other bestfriend. "Ginny! Are you okay? What happened?" She asked sounding concerned.

"Almost, had an unwanted encounter with Draco Malfoy." I replied breathlessly.

"Come, sit with us." She said pointing in the compartment on the right. I looked in and locked eyes with Harry's emerald green ones. Walking in I sat down next to Hermione, she smiled and went back to reading her second year textbooks.
