"Winnie! Look what I made!" She screams calling Bucky into the kitchen.

"What it is?" Bucky asked walking into the room tripping over the dog.

It's been a couple months and Dagger's gotta pretty big and pretty protective of the two people, but mainly Minnie, so he follows her everywhere she goes.

The curly haired girl picked up the sign she just finished painting, and turned it around so the man could see it.

The sign read "house of strays" in neat blue cursive.

"Is that what we're gonna start calling ourselves?" He chuckled grabbing the sign.

"Why not? It's true ain't it?" She replayed looking down at Dagger.

"Speaking of strays, I gotta talk to you about something." The man says sitting down, while heaving put a sigh clearly not wanting to do this.

"If this is you telling me I gotta get rid of Dagger, I'm just gonna say I'd rather get rid of you." She joked thinking about how the dog had just chewed up one of his shoes the week before.

"I gotta leave soon." He says bluntly handing her the sign back which she sets on the table as she turns to him completely.

"Wait, you know I was joking right you don't gotta leave I'm fine with you and the dog." She spits out hurriedly slightly panicked.

"It's not because of that Minnie, I promise." He chuckled lightly before his face went back to being serious. "It's for your safety, HYDRA is still after me and if they find me then they'll find you and I can't let that happen."

The wheels in Armina's head start turning as she tries to think of how to make him stay. But she knows she can't the man is to stubborn and has clearly made up his mind.

"When do you plan on leaving? Where are you even gonna go?"

"I was planning on leaving tomorrow, head for somewhere in Europe maybe." He speaks not looking at her.

Her face is covered in hurt and confusion. "And you're just now gonna tell me about this?"

"I didn't want you to get upset. I wanted to spend our last couple of days together normal and not have to worry about me leaving."

"Didn't want me to get upset? You don't even have a plan on where you're going all you said was "somewhere in Europe"and even with that you said "maybe" you could at least have thought about it more. You could get hurt and I won't know because you're on the other side of the world! I can't handle that I don't know what I'd do if you got hurt! You're all I've got right now." She says the last part quietly.

The two just stare at other not sure what to say next.
The women hoping he'll say that he'll stay and not leave her alone. Say anything really instead he just kept staring at her as if he didn't here anything she just said.

"Fine go I don't care." She says as she get up and walks away.

Dagger gets up stares at Bucky menacingly and follows the women to her room.

"Even the dog's mad at me." He says quietly.

It's been a couple hours since the argument and it's all Armina's been thinking about. She knows that he's right about him having to leave but he's also not the only one being hunted by HYDRA. But she's calmed down some and ready to talk to bucky without blowing up.

She gets out of her bed, which has been her place of comfort for the past four hours, and walks into the kitchen. As she walks in the smell of food hits her, and she sees Bucky standing at the stove coming with his back towards her.

"I'm sorry for getting upset." She apologizes quietly watching him.

He turns the stove off and sets the food on the table before looking at her.

"You had every right to get upset. I shouldn't have waited until the night before I leave to tell and I'm sorry. Come here." He says opening his arms.

She reluctantly walks towards him and wraps her arms around his neck hugging him.

They let go and sit down to eat the meal he prepared for them, attempting to pretend it was just another night.

"You know back in m village before someone left for a mission we would have a festival. We'd eat a feast and go outside and dance while throwing colored chalk at each other's clothes."

"Why?"

"To remind us to be joyful and that they would come back unharmed."

"Sounds amazing." He states knowing that she was probably thinking of her family because her face fell a slightly and her eyes zoned out.

"Come on go take a shower while I clean up and we can watch a movie. Sound good?"

"Yeah, okay. But only if I get to choose I'm tired of watching Star Wars." She laughs walking to the bathroom.

Once she was finished they laid down on the couch together and had a Disney marathon. The only movies she actually enjoyed watching even though she's in her twenties.

"How long do you think you'll be gone for?"

He knew this question was coming and he honestly didn't know how to answer it. He didn't know how long he'd be gone for. He just figured out today where he was gone go.

"I don't know." He sighs after a minute of silence.

"Just don't leave me forever, okay?"

"I wouldn't dream of it." He pulls her closer not wanting to leave.

"It's getting late you should get some sleep." He finally speaks after they watched another movie.

"Are you gonna leave while I'm still asleep?" She questions him.

"Probably."

She turns to him and embraces him in a tight hug. "Be careful."

"I promise I'll try the best I can."

"I'm gonna miss you." She tells him quietly.

"I'm gonna miss you too."

By time morning came Bucky had left on his journey to "somewhere in Europe,maybe". Leaving Armina alone with a dog which was bred to hunt her kind, and an empty journal which she planned to fill with all her thoughts while the only person cared about was gone.
