Rule 11: Caffeine

A man let out a laughter after you told him what happened to Sana and you at the airport, "She slapped you?!" You take a slip of your 'on the rocks'.

"She said... We're done. And then I watch her go." He put his hand on your shoulder, "Y/N... the part you said to her, 'Farewell. Take good care of your health' doesn't make sense?" He lifts up his eyebrow and looks at you.

"As expected, Detective." You finish your drink and ask for one more, "This morning I got a called from the doctor about my full report." He finishes his drink as well and requests for one more, "Your full report? Is it about the blood clot in your brain.

You nod, "It turns out to be a blood tumor, is moving near towards my eyes nerve and the doctor has no idea how long it takes for it to stabilize so that it can operate it out for me." The bartender puts your drink and his on top of the counter, "While waiting for it to stabilize I will frequently expect headaches and my vision will get blurry as the time goes by." You took the drink and one shot down.

You sigh, "Worst I might go blind." He grabs your collar and pulls you towards him, "You're a baka." He one shot down his drink as well, "She doesn't know about it?" You shake your head.

You signal the bartender and request for another one for both, "I went to check the night before she leaves. Wanted to give her a good news who knows it turns out a bad one." You take a sip of your drink, "Do your parents know about it?" You shake while he one shot down his drink, "I shouldn't drag you down that night..."

"Y/N! The victim!" He points and looks at you.

You dash towards the victim and help her told the attack from the culprit.

That night...

That attack...

"Ayy... I'm glad to help the girl." You suddenly remember and take out a gift from your coat. You pass it to him, "That girl went to my store in the afternoon and asked me to pass it to you." He takes it from your hand.

He saw a gift card and open it,

'To: Koyichi Tantei san,

Koyichi unwrap and open it up, it's a necktie clasp inside.

You peek over and see the gifts, "Wow that girl! Bias! I save her yet I only get a pen as a gratitude and you got a fucking necktie clasp." Koyichi scoffs. He closed the box, "I already have one. If you want you can have it." He slides the box to you and you stop him, "Is okay. Afterall, that is for you. Plus, I don't wear suits like you."

He scoffs and the both of you continue to drink.

At Korea, Sana is done practicing her upcoming new comeback and live shows. She and her members get into their van back to their dorm.

Sana takes her phone out and unlocks it. She taps on the photos, camera rolls, there is tons of your pictures taken while you were asleep or serving customers.

"It would be better..."

"If you're tired of holding just let go... You will feel a lot better."

"Farewell. Take good care of your health."

*Phone vibrate*

She looks at the phone and smiles widely at the caller name, 'F/N Mama <3 <3'

"Sana chan!" Sana hears a familiar motherly voice. "Hai! F/N Okasan!" Trying to hide her sadness from your mother. "How are you?" Silent fall upon her. "Did he bully you?" Your mother asked Sana.

Sana shakes her head while she is on the phone with your mother. "Nope." She let out a little laugh. "Really? That boy didn't tell you something before he sends you off at the airport... right Y/N kun." She frowns and looks at her phone again.

It turns out to be a 3-way call.

"I told you both that I will roast this boy in front of you, Sana chan." She frowns and curiously makes a sound, "eh?"

"He has something to say..." Sana looks out of the car window waiting for you to say.

"It turns out to be a blood tumour." Sana eyes widen and she is about to say something but got interrupted by your Okasan. "He is going to be blind." Sana eyes starting to get teary..

"Ani! Ani! They are just not stabilized and move near my eyes nerve that all." You quickly explain as you don't want Sana to misunderstood as well as your Okasan. "Then why you call me and tell me that you're going to be blind?!" Your Okasan ask. You sigh, "I'm going to explain it to you again. The blood tumor in my brain is moving near towards my eyes nerve and the doctor has no idea how long it takes for it to stabilize so that it can operate it out for me."

The only thing you hear from Sana is a long sigh, "F/N Okasan I got to go!" Before she taps end call, "I drink too much... I end this call first. You both... Have. A. Good. Talk." You end the call first.

"I heard from him, he made you angry." Sana reply with just sound coming out from her mouth, "mm..."

"Before I end the call. Can Okasan ask you a question? Just one." A smile upon on Sana face and she replied, "Hai."

"Are you tired of your relationship with him? Don't need to mind me. Just answer with your honest feeling." Silent for upon the call. A tear starts to roll down from Sana's eyes to her cheek, she sniffs and wipes of that tear. "I..."

"I understood. F/N Okasan understood. A bad boy like him is stupid. You deserve to be happy Sana chan. You deserve someone that put their whole heart on you just like how you put your whole heart on Y/N. Sorry for disturbing you this late. Have a good rest." Sana is about to reply but your mother ended the call.

'I... I'm tired but he is a caffeine to me that can't let me sleep, think and make me stay awake.'

You're lying on your bed, hugging the pillow she sleeps on, smelling her scent that lingering on the pillow, duvet, and bedsheet.

'You're just like a caffeine so bad to me that I always try to stay away but I can't do it. You make my heart beating faster and faster each time I can't help.'
