Cuphead's PoV:

Me and Mugs were catching a train to get to Wasteland. We planned to live there for a while, just to take a break from Inkwell Isle. I guess you could call it a vacation of some sorts. As the train pulled into the station, Mugs and I grabbed our luggage. We didn't have lot with up, only a suitcase. We didn't really own much. Me and my bro stepped into the train and sat in two empty seats. A woman came by to collect our tickets. Once she walked away, Mugs looked out of the window as the train started moving. I sat back in my seat, preparing for a long trip.

Mug's PoV:

"Bro, wake up! We're here!" I shook my brother until his eyes opened. He stood and stretched a bit, the liquid in his head almost spilling out. He caught it though and got our bags. We basically ran off of the train and stepped into the station.

"Finally! That train went on forever!" I grabbed my suitcase and my brother's hand before we walked towards the town. We made it to the town and started walking through it. From the corner of my eye, I could see a nice little restaurant. 'Maybe we could stop by and eat there..' I thought and smiled a bit as I continued walking with Cuphead. We came upon a motel and decided to get a room there. We walked in and I, for some reason, let Cuphead do the talking. Big mistake. Thanks to him, we almost didn't get a room there. But, thankfully, I was listening, and I saved both of our butts. We got our key, dropped our things off in our room, and decided to walk around the town. It truly was a nice town. Everyone was really happy here and I could see why. Everything was so bright and colorful here! Optimistic even! But, I noticed someone staring at us from a pretty good distance. It was a... devil? Cat? It was one of those, but it was really lost in thought looking at us. I tried not to look back at them and sighed a bit in relief when this wolf toon got their attention. I was surprised that Cuphead didn't see them staring. But I wouldn't mention it now. I'll do it later.

A/N: Second chapter is done finally! I'm sorry this took so long to write but I really wasn't feeling like it this past week. I feel really sick right now. But enough about me. I hope you enjoyed this story! Toodles!~
