Cuphead's PoV:

"What do you mean Muggo?" I asked my brother. He looked at me like I was crazy. "You're telling me that you didn't see that cat-demon-thing staring at you?" I shook my head, then laughed. "You don't even know what that 'thing' is! How do I know you're not fibbing?" He groaned loudly and tilted his head back, almost spilling the liquid in his head. I had to suppress a laugh. "Just trust me, okay?! They were staring at you!" I put my hands up defensively, sensing his annoyance. "Alright! Alright! But what did "they" look like?" Mugman made a face which looked like he was thinking before shrugging. "I only saw a bowtie. Didn't see anything else." I snorted loudly and laughed. "A bowtie? What colors were they? Black and white?" Mugman nodded which made me stop laughing. "Yeah," Mugman said, "I didn't see any other colors except black, white, and maybe grey." I laughed some more, holding my sides. "Black, white, AND grey?! I am so glad that Mr. And Mr. Moldenhauer was smart enough to give us color!" Mugman glared at me, but he didn’t look intimidating at all. "Cuphead! You're missing the point! You were being stared at! They looked like they wanted something from you!" I smirked at my little brother. "Yeah they wanted something from me! My dashingly good looks and charming personality!" Mugs laughed mockingly at me. ""Good looks"? They probably wanted money from you!" I shook my head. "That wouldn't be the case. This is supposed to be the safest town out there! If that happens, they might have to give up their title."

"A demon-cat-thingy would do something like that! I hear that cats are very manipulative! Sometimes, even mean!"

"Mugs! C'mon! It's our first day here! Just chill a bit!" Mugman looks like he is about to say something, but he stops himself and sighs. "Yeah.. You're right Cuppy.." I grin and pull him into a bear hug. "I know! Don't rub it in!" That makes Mugman laugh. I let him go and yawn a bit melodramaticaly. "Welp! I'm beat!" Mugs looked at the clock. "It is late. We should get to bed."

And with that, me and Mugman went to bed.
