"God, it's been ages since I've been to a good concert like that!" you exclaim as you and Abbey push your way through the crowd and slowly make your way back to your room.

"And they're only gonna get better each night!" Abbey says, grinning, "I heard that last year they played the last concert on the upper deck at like, midnight and they had fireworks!"

"Shit!" you gape, "Damn, I'm looking forward to that!"

"It'll be awesome," she says. After a pause, "Too bad we didn't see that blonde hottie anywhere in the crowd. I would've liked to see your brain lose all its function again."

"Oh, you're so supportive," you tell her with an eye roll.

"What?" she protests with a shrug, "Just calling it like I see it. And you practically fainted against me after she ran off on you, so."

"Whatever," you cough loudly, desperately trying to get her to change topics. "Do we have anything else planned for tonight?"

"Y/N? Actually wanting to do something?!" Abbey gasps dramatically.

"Yeah, whatever?" you say, "Or maybe I just want you to lay off me and my hopeless crush on someone I'll never see after four days so like, what's the point?"

"Um," Abbey starts, putting her hands on her hips as she stops in the middle of the hallway briefly, "The point? Is that she was super hot and obviously gay panicking almost as much as you were?"

"It'll never work out anyway!" you throw your hands up in the air, shoving at her with your shoulder to get her to keep moving.

"It doesn't have to! It's just fun!" she says as the two of you approach your cabin.

"I've never been a one-night-stand kind of girl, Bee," you say, "And I'm not about to start now."

"Do you have any other choices on this ship?" Abbey arches her eyebrow as you pull your keycard out from your wallet and open the door. "Like, were you planning to avoid her this entire time or something?"

"I mean.... No," you start, "But talking is a thing, isn't it?"

"If you can form proper sentences, then sure!"

"You're fucking evil," you glare at her as she pulls off her concert outfit and roots around in her suitcase for something else to wear. "I'm guessing you're planning on going out for the night?"

"It's, what? Barely 11PM?" she says, gazing at herself in one of the mirrors as she holds up her signature clothing style crop top up to her chest. "The night's still young!"

You glance at her reflection in the mirror like she's crazy, but inwardly you're debating. You really should be making the most of your time here, but also you just really want to unwind, get some room service and watch something on the TV.

"You're considering it!" Abbey crows happily as she shimmies into some short shorts. "C'mon, it'll be great - there'll be plenty of people at the club so that if your blondie happens to be there you can just run the opposite way-"

"Aaand I'm gonna stay," you say definitively.

"Oh, c'mon Y/N! I was just kidding - there's like, two other club and dance bars on this boat, the chances that she'll be at the one I had planned for us to go to-"

"Not tonight, Bee," you shrug your shoulders apologetically, "Plus, I want to spread out on this queen mattress as much as I can while you're away."

"Don't even think about getting used to it!" she wags her finger in warning.

You flop over onto the mattress and starfish, looking over at her with a smirk and a double chin from where your head has veritably sunk into the pillows. "Does it look like I could get used to this?"

She sighs, shaking her head. "Try not to have too much fun all on your lonesome, then."

"Don't worry, I won't wait up," you say as she flashes you a quick wink over her shoulder and shuts the door behind her.

You reach over to the bedside table where the remote is and turn on the TV. "Now," you mutter to yourself, "What to do..."

Turns out what you do is just fall asleep on top of the sheets, still fully clothed.
