"Nope. No way." I said as I crossed my arms and glared at Derek who was standing in the doorway blocking my path. "I have gone on all of your finding the Alpha adventures, but with this one I'm drawing the line. I'm out." I threw my hands in the air frantically as I continued to rant. "How can you just act like nothings happened?! Like he didn't literally tear Laura in half! Like he hasn't murdered three people in cold blood!" I looked at Derek with raised brows waiting for an answer.

He sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. "I have a plan."

I squinted my eyes at him. "Are you gonna tell me what this so-called plan is? Or are you going to keep me out of the loop like you normally do?"

"Can you just trust me? I know what I'm doing, I wouldn't ask you to come along if it wasn't important."

I groaned and ran a hand through my hair. "Derek I literally just seen him beat the living crap out of you and you expect me to just go along with your plan and act like Peter isn't a complete psychopath? You're gonna have to try harder to convince me because I'm not going anywhere until I fully know what's going on." I said as I stomped my foot on the ground.

Derek rolled his eyes as he pushed himself off of the doorway and walked closer to me. He stopped walking when we were about an inch apart from each other. The air felt like it had a static charge to it, like if I were to touch something I would immediately get shocked. I looked up at him and gave him an annoyed look as I tried to ignore the electric charge.

"I have an idea on how to get rid of Peter." He said looking in my eyes.

"I'm loving the vagueness you're giving, it really makes everything so much easier to understand." I said sarcastically which caused Derek to roll his eyes. "Go ahead. Continue explaining this beautiful plan you've conjured up." I held my hand out and motioned for him to continue.

"Just trust me ok. I wouldn't put you in danger you know that, just go along with what he says and I'll handle the rest."

The amount of sincerity in his voice when he said he wouldn't put me in any danger made my heart skip and beat and I didn't know why. Derek has always been there to protect me, why all of a sudden is it affecting me like this?

I let out an exasperated sigh and looked down at the floor. "Whatever. Just don't be surprised if he ends up with a broken nose." I said as I walked around Derek and exited the Hale house.

The lights in the boys locker room flicked off as Derek and I stood in the empty shower stalls waiting for Scott to notice us. Peter had come up with some plan but when he was explaining it I zoned out and didn't pay attention to a single word he'd said.

I picked up a lacrosse ball and threw it at one of the walls trying to get Scott's attention. I heard his heartbeat get louder as he approached us, his figure appeared around the corner and his body instantly relaxed when he seen it was us.

"Thank god! Where the hell have you been?!" Scott asked as he quickly walked over to Derek and I. "Do you have any idea what's been going on?"

I looked behind Scott's shoulder and seen Peter appear from behind one of the stalls holding a lacrosse stick. Scott noticed my gaze and whipped his head around and came face to face with Peter.

"I really don't get lacrosse." Peter said looking down at the netted stick. "When I was in high school we played basketball. There's a real sport."

Scott looked back at Derek and I, I quickly averted my gaze from his and looked down at the floor not wanting to see the hurt expression that I knew was on his face.

"You know I read somewhere that lacrosse comes from Native American tribes and they played it to resolve conflict." Peter said as he threw the stick over his shoulder. "I have a little conflict of my own to resolve Scott. But I need your help to do it."
