I've always been one of the boys. No wonder why I managed to morph and look like them too. Except, my friends happened to be some kind of flower boys. Argh. I love them to pieces but I honestly feel like dirt when I'm with them. How can they look so beautiful? Even more beautiful than any girl in our university. I CAN'T. At least, Woojin looked like a regular human to me. But not to his fangirls of course. But you get me.

Woojin and I have known each other since kindergarten. Childhood friends, yes! Little did I know that as we grow old (we were separated in high school--different schools), he'd get to be in the 'popular' category in school. He never looked extraordinary to me but his talent always did. I don't know what gods have Aunt and Uncle earned favor from that Woojin ended becoming an all-rounder. Singing, dancing, rapping even sports. Name it, and there's a high probality that he can do it well. BLESSED.

While me on the other hand, I always felt ordinary. Perhaps even too ordinary. Much like the regular burger in fast food chains. No cheese, lettuce nor tomato in me. SIGH.

Then, I don't know what prank the universe has been pulling on me--when Woojin and I reunited in college, oh boy. He now has these 'friends'. They're blinding. Let's start with the Top 1 according to the ranking of the females in our university.

Jihoon

Whenever he's out of his house, expect that you'll see girls trailing him--constantly. Like, overly-hyped-buzzing-bees. It-almost-got-me-admitted-to-an-asylum, kind of crazy. I love chocolate. Especially those ones who every girl ogle on. Those luscious chocolate balls with a golden wrapper. But ever since Woojin's Flower Squad took me in, I now vomit even with the sight of those sinful treats! Thanks to Jihoon's fangirls. No matter how much we try to eat and eat and eat and eat and eat, the pile doesn't seem to budge even a bit! STRUGGLE.

Lemme go back to his visuals though, seeing his face the first time--no exaggerating, I swear. Felt like seeing the precious lone son of Aphrodite and Adonis. YES. Ever since then, I wonder and ask the heavens every day how any agency haven't tracked down this great find yet. I know you can already imagine how flawless he looks like even without me going into detail. Good Lord.

Ong

My second best friend, actually. Thanks to Woojin. He's the funniest human being on earth! Though I secretly wished that he also looked human enough like Woojin and me. But to no avail. His visuals are also stunning. I CRY. Once the females hear of these friends of mine--of course, what pulls them in is Jihoon. With a face that's scuplted by the gods themselves, who could resist? Yet Ong here--and I'm FREAKING proud--is the one that makes them stay in their fandom. What? I know you get what I mean. But I simply think that those two are really in it together. Holding the sad souls of these females captive.

And then there's Jisung...

The perfect guy. Student leader. Loved and adored by every professor and by literally the whole school.
Always kind. Charming. Smiles to everyone. The reachable one in their squad and yet the unreachable.

He teases me a whole awful lot. My goodness. He gets on my nerves sometimes but over all, I like it. I really do. Because he notices me! I know, I know. That he'd really notice me 'cause we're friends but you get the idea.

'Papertine!'

'Oh really? Look at me.'

I'd reply, exasperated.

'What? You look fine. Time to go now insecurity, I need to talk to my friend!'

he smiles

FRIEND

I'd laugh

'Fine. I'm back! So? What do you want Mr. Perfect?'

'What? Who's perfect? Definitely not me.'
