HAPPY PILL ft. VMae

There goes this feeling of nothingness again. It's been a week and I just can't bring myself to enjoy life like I usually do. Everything just feels so off. I can't deal with myself, how can I even deal with people? I'm back pushing everyone away again. I feel so helpless, alone - whatever.

PING!

Erika's phone lit up, a message came from her favorite person in the world.

My Taetae ♡

"Ya!"

"Yeah?"

"I haven't seen you in ages! Is it that season again? 😕"

"Yeah... Sorry."

"Oh come on! That 'thing' is the one who should be asking me, and everyone who loves you, an apology! Hehe"

"It's holding you hostage in your room again, doesn't it?"

"Yeah 😢"

Repeated knocks then came at her bedroom door.

Must be my sisters again or Mom

She gave it all her strength to stand on her feet and get to the door.

"SURPRISE!" she's greeted with the most beautiful smile in the world that she knows of - that one that gives her warmth and makes her wanna live another day.

Kim Taehyung is standing before her eyes. Her best friend and the only boy that she loves and swore to ever love. He's holding two bags of all her favorite snacks, some drinks and the food that she enjoys eating with him.

"Taetae!" she jumps at him and hugged him so tight - as if her attempt in trying to absorb the sunshine and hope that God asked Taehyung to deliver to her. He drops the care package bags he has on the floor and hugs her back as quickly as he could.

"I knew that every time this thing comes, you won't be able to step out your house. But I wanted to see you. And you parents and sisters, we all want to see you smiling as much as possible. So! I brought myself to you instead! You're still here in your room but with me!" he laughs and his words made her tear up. As if chains of gloom started falling off her. She felt relieved and at peace. He caresses his hair, that smile still on his face.

"I'm okay now." she says letting go and looking in his eyes.

"Good! - he wipes her tears with both his thumb. - Smile for me?" he makes his classic funny face.

She laughed.

Another victory that Taehyung can add on his mental note with Erika's name.

They spent the whole day together. Eating, laughing and just having their quality time.

Isn't it beautiful to have a person as your personal happy pill? Someone like a dashing prince, ready to fly to your rescue every time there's danger threatening to harm you? Someone who takes back your light and joy from the monster that stole it and back in your possession?

That's what Taehyung has always been for her. Ever since they met, he's this sunshine reservoir that she could tap into anytime. They've only known each other for two years but to her, it always felt like she has him in her life since forever.

Night came and not long after, it's time for her to get some rest.

"I had so much fun - as always. Thank you, my Tae." she said lying on her bed, Taehyung fixing her blanket on her.

"Anytime" a warm smile spilled over his face again

Once she fell asleep, he watched her some more and left a kiss on her forehead then left.

"Now I'm ready to face another week. Taehyung's fully charged!" He stretched both his arms and was showered with thumbs up by Erika's loving family.
