Everything fell silent as Keller and his bastards limped towards the door pathetically.

"That wasn't very smart, Lexi," Lance said to me pitifully.

I looked at him with narrowed eyes, "You want to do something about it?"

He raised in hands up in surrender, "I was talking about whooping his ass. His parents are members of the school board."

I sighed, "I'll deal with it."

"But you have to admit, what Lexi did was freaking badass," Jay smirked and I high fived him.

Our tabled laughed and the cafeteria's noise level increased. Suddenly, I felt claustrophobic and jumped out of my seat.

"I need some air," I said quickly and ran out the door in five seconds flat. The vampire powers are getting to me, though I'm only a half.

I jumped out the front doors and gazed outside; at the night sky and the surrounding trees. I swear, Nightshade Academy had a dark and eerie presence that I thought only Dracula's Castle can succeed in doing.

I looked at on tree and saw berries hanging out of it. They were blood-red that looked like small, chubby peppers. I took one down and inspect it closer.

"I wouldn't eat that if I were you," Dane said. He was beside me in a flash and I nearly jumped out of my skin.

"Why not?"

"There Nightshade berries. It will kill you even before you swallow it," he confirmed.

"Nightshade berries? The school namesake?" I asked incredulously.

"Yeah, weird, right? These berries are deadly and apparently so are vampires," he answered.

"This school is getting weirder and weirder," I shook my head.

"Oh, come on, we're not that bad," he said with a killer smile.

"Maybe not you and the guys, but the rest just wants to get in my pants."

"Please, every guy who have eyes wants to get in your pants," he scoffed and I punched him on the shoulder.

Every guy who has eyes wants to get in my pants. But does he?

"Not that kind of way," he answered for me.

"Will you please stop doing that?! My head feels freaking violated now," I glared and he smirked.

"Anyway, you know when i first met you?" he asked me softly.

"How can I forget? I was half naked," I retorted.

"I was more mesmerized by your eyes, then your...um...assets," he said awkwardly.

I was absolutely touched by the way he said that. Most guys just wants to get into my pants while this dude noticed my eyes right off the bat. This was the absolute first.

He smiled at that and leaned closer to me. Heat ran across my face and arms all the way down to my toes. Holy crap, I'm in trouble.

"You're not the only one falling, you know," he smiled then and in a flash, our lips met.

His lips were gentle and hesitant, like he wants me to control, but I gave the control to him. He took it and wrapped his arms around my waist to pull me closer. Our lips tangled and my tongue mingled with his. I wrapped my arms around his neck and our kiss deepened into something hot and fast. Then, the bell rang, signaling it was time to get to class or else.

I sighed and took a step back.

"You know, I wanted to do that since the first day we met," he told me with a smile.

"Maybe because I was half naked," I said.

He shook his head, "No, it was something more."
