Jimin felt pissed.

Yes, he was aware of the blunder he had just caused, but his best friend was not making things any easier.

"--I thought you would be great at an actual relationship, but I guess I was wrong, wasn't I?" Jungkook ranted on, something he had been doing in the car ride all the way home. "Ditching a second date, just for a lost cause aka Hoseok is not something I would have don--"

"Okay, Mr. I've-been-in-love-for-two-months-and-am-now-an-expert, I get it!" Jimin snapped, losing his nerve.

"Oh, don't you fucking yell at me, mister!"

Taehyung only looked from one to the other silently, and shook his head in disbelief.

"Stop thinking about yourself. Think about Yoongi and what he must be feeling right now!" Jungkook yelled.

"I am, okay!?" Jimin yelled back. "It's what I've been doing the moment I got the text!"

"Oh really? Because it doesn't seem that way!"

"Shut up, Jungkook."

"You shut up!"

"No, you!"

And Taehyung could only sigh.

Jimin slammed the door to his room and flopped down on his bed, rancid mentalities swirling around in his head. Stupid Jungkook. Stupid date.

He usually never was like this. He had never once forgotten an event. He never really yelled. The last time he had had a fight had been back when he was sixteen. He was just so annoyed at himself, that he had caused that negative vibe to flow out around him.

Calm down, he told himself. Calm down, and text him back.

Slipping his phone out from his pocket, he slid his thumb across the screen and reread the text.

Yoongi
i guess you were busy, i understand

Fingers slightly shaking, yet mind made up, he typed in;

Jimin
meet me at that street where you told me your name

Yoongi
right now?

Jimin
yes

please

Yoongi
ill be there

With a fierce sort of determination, he shrugged on his jacket again, and ran downstairs, calling out a hasty goodbye to the others.

Taehyung smiled, while Jungkook ignored him.

Running out the door, he stopped and bent over, panting slightly; trying to remember where the street had been.

And then he set off.

_

Yoongi was there, watching him approach. It was difficult to make out much of his features in the moonlight, but it was enough to see the grim expression etched upon his face.

Nervously, Jimin walked up to him, and shot an apologetic sort of grin.

"Tell me why I'm here."

It wasn't an enquiry; much more like a demand.

Wetting his lips, and wondering how to begin, Jimin was silent. So was the latter.

At last, he spoke up.

"We need to talk."

He watched as Yoongi's eyebrows shot up. "Okay." The ravenette muttered. "But why here, and why now?"

"I don't know, I just..." He hesitated. The atmosphere was so rigid, so suffocatingly awkward, that he couldn't get a word out further. There was only one solution out of this sticky tension in the air presenting itself to Jimin. So he did just that.

Stepping forward, he slid his arms around Yoongi's neck and pulled his body in close, resting his head on the latter's shoulder. He felt Yoongi freeze for a second, before all the rigidness in his muscles vanished and he hugged the pinkette back.

And it felt so nice.

And it felt so warm.

Jimin snuggled his nose against the cosy material of Yoongi's jacket and heard a muffled, "Stop it, that tickles," emanate from somewhere around his ear, causing him to let out a light laugh.

The brittle end-winter breeze that had been bone bitingly freezing mere moments ago, now pressed lovingly against Jimin's cheek, like a gentle caress. The orange streetlight shone down upon them, taking the form of a spotlight; illuminating the pair encased in a private silent conversation, in which actions were sufficient enough for words, in which a thousand apologies were being delivered and accepted; just by that one warm hug.

After what seemed like an eternity of silence, both males pulled away, but kept their arms around each other.

"Forgive me?" One of them whispered.

"Done." The other smiled.

And all the iciness melted away, much like the snow by the streets, and the ice upon the water.

And winter, it seemed, finally came to an end.
