Seokjin was a busy man.
Running one of the most famous bars in the area wasn't an easy task, especially if all you had were lousy workers, drunk customers and sweaty dancers 24/7. But, he made it work, and got a rather good dough off of it too. Opening the club after his college years had been his childhood dream, but over the years, he yearned for peace, quiet, a mug of coffee and good book—
He just wished he loved his job.
“Oi barman, I said hurry up!”
Seokjin jostled out of his melancholy thoughts and turned towards the drunk group of teenagers, wearing languid tops and sequined heels. Probably not legal yet, he thought.
“Six sunset tequilas coming right up.” He slid the said drinks and the girls caught them, running off to their boyfriends or whatever.
“A beer.”
Seokjin smiled at that voice. “Well well, look who showed up.” He leaned against the counter top and smirked bemusedly at the ravenette. “Haven't seen you since you got a boyfriend.”
Yoongi glared back. “Not in the mood, Jin.”
“Oh so I'm Jin now?” Seokjin feigned surprise. “I seem to recall I was Seokjin Hyung when you came begging to me for help as to how to ask him out—”
At the look on his friend's face however, he stopped. “What's wrong?”
Yoongi slumped in his seat. “It's Jimin. He's getting suspicious and I don't know how to tell him—”
Seokjin shook Yoongi's shoulders. “No you idiot, you cant tell him! The situation will be a hundred times worse if you do and it will only aggravate him further. Besides, it's only a month or so before all this is behind us.”
“You think I don't know that!?” Yoongi grit his teeth. “This is why I kept distant in the first place, and as soon as I get someone in my life, it turns upside down. How do you think I feel?”
Seokjin groaned. “Look, this isn't easy, I know. But just a little longer and you can tell him all of it.”
“How long?” Yoongi gripped the counter top so hard his knuckles turned white. “He came to me, you know? He even cried and I...”
Seokjin hadn't seen him so shaken in quite a long while.
“...and I still couldn't say anything. He means the world to me and seeing him so broken i-it ripped me apart...”
His voice faded away in a raspy whisper and he inhaled a few times. Getting his senses back together, he leaned closer to Seokjin and muttered, “I was thinking of going away with him for a while, I don't know where, but it should keep him safe.”
Seokjin slowly nodded. “Do what you have to do, but don't do anything stupid.”
“I never do anything stupid.”
“Hah.”
Yoongi shot his childhood friend a quick smile and slid off the chair.
“Hey, don't you want your beer?” The latter called after him.
“Nah, have one from me.”
“Okay.”
Seokjin sighed and went back to wiping the counter, a frown present between his features. He had a nagging feeling that something was going to go wrong, but—
No, they'll be fine.

The music was thrumming against his eardrums, but his heart beat faster; for the conversation he had just eavesdropped on was alarming to say the least. The information that his friend was in fatal danger....
One thought was highlighted against all others.
I need to warn Jimin, thought Jungkook.
