Your P.O.V.

As we were waiting there for him to arrive, I changed back to my human form because my fur was making me get hot while I was standing in the sun.

"So seriously," Lilly started. "Do you like him?"

"I mean, I guess. He is a great friend so far, like you guys."

Lilly looked at me weirdly.

"You know that's not what I meant." She said.

"...."

"Well....?" She continued to push.

"Okay.... Yeah?.... I don't know, I barely know him...." I mumbled.

"Aaawwwww!" She screeched.

"I though you weren't looking for a boyfriend. Not to mention you don't believe in love."

"I know, I did say that, but he's different."

"Like, how different?" Eva asked.

"Well... I don't know, there's a charm I see in him that I don't see in anyone else at school."

"Well I guess that's good. I've been waiting long enough to hear your experience for this stuff." She said.

In the short distance, I heard some soft crunching of feet under a four legged creature.

"Oh, I think he's here, speak of the devil."

Two dogs jumped out out of the trees and at me, immediately scencing that I was part wolf. Lilly and Eva started running back to the house, knowing not to interfere. They were good friends but we had discussed that if I was fighting any other animal, not to come between us when I'm like this.

At this point, a dog had a hold of my arm, trying to viciously rip at the flesh. I turned to my wolf form and faught it off and tried to keep track of my friends at the same time.

I loud, short noise caught my attention, however, it came from the opposite direction of where I was running. I saw what looked like a spec glitter on the side of a tree for a short second before it disappeared again. I felt a sudden sharp pain in my left shoulder and through to the back side of my ribcage.

I was slammed back at the sudden force and fell to the ground with a thud. The two dogs came back and started to circle me, growling threateningly. An older man came out of the trees from the direction of the loud noise. He got down on one knee, looking intently at me as I lay on my side, opposite of the side that I got shot on.

He put his hand on my back and trailed it toward him, to my side, running his fingers through my shaggy fur; he seemed to be completely astonished at his accomplishment and at the fact that there is a wolf in Cincinnati. I swallowed what little moisture I had in my mouth, as my throat felt dry. When the side of my tongue touched the ground, I tasted my own blood as the puddle of my own blood I was laying in got bigger and bigger.

A flash of black shot by and the man flew off of me and hit a nearby tree. My vision was going blurry and I felt myself going even more weak than I already was. I heard the two dogs' yelping get more violent before all noise ceased. A taller figure picked me up and was talking, but I couldn't figure out what exactly they were saying.

My body only being able to heal faster when in wolf form, was trying to heal the wound, but I knew the bullet had to be removed so the nerves wouldn't grow around it. I felt shallow in my chest. My breathing was short as I huffed what I could process in the moment.

It would have to have been about a ten minute wait before I was put back on the ground. All of my body instantly hurt the second I was set down. Whoever had me started petting me to try and calm me down. I was healing, but I still had to make up all of the blood I lost.
