The look on his face when he asked for another chance never seems to leave my mind, it's always there, stuck and unwanted, like him, i groan and almost bump my head against my class table, what does he really want? my body or my heart? if this is a nightmare, can i wake up? if this is a dream, can i still wake up? no, this is reality and i have to deal with him.
I'm not supposed to be scared whenever someone touches me, but he made me feel like that, he's the one to blame, i only loved him but he almost ruined my life, not that any of my family cares, but still, he has no right.
I take a deep breath and look up once he barges in again after the teacher gets out, he's fit and his curls are so fascinating, i've never seen such hair on a guy, but maybe, that's what attracted me to him, made me say yes.
I find myself smiling when i remember Levi chasing me down across the parking lot, many people swore that day because we'd always be in their way, but he'd always tell me to let us be, that we're meant to run towards the cars, he'd make me laugh by his sappy words, but all this is gone away just because he was drinking, but the question that never seems to leave me is why would he drink that much? family or friends?
He sits down, ever glancing at me anymore, which indicates that he has gotten the hint from me after what happened in the hallway.
Carson Sane is the most dangerous bitch of the whole Manhatten international high, she's tricky, flirty and can steal anyone just by batting her eyelashes, and by talking about her, she comes in the class, the clutter of her heels disturbing me from my dreamland as she twirls one of her black curly strands, her blue eyes gleaming at Levi, which makes me want to turn her bald, and Carson gets down so her cleavage, now on full display to Levi, are hanging low.
‘’Hey baby.’’ She licks her lower lip seducing him, all the other guys didn’t mind since they get to check out her busty ass.
Levi just gives her an impassive look and slings back, the class are so silent, only the clicking of Carson’s heels are sending me on edge but I wouldn’t let her have the pleasure of humiliating me, she has every record of every student since her dad is the owner of the school, I’ve met him, he’s so friendly, I don’t understand how could he be related to the total opposite side, which is his daughter, she doesn’t even look anything like him.
‘’Hi.’’ He replies to her coldly and all the class seem to be interested in the conversation, except me but I listen anyway.
‘’Baby, do you want to come home with me tonight?’’ she winks at him which makes all the guys drool over her.
‘’How many times do I have to tell you that we’re over so you could get it into your pretty little head?’’ he mimics her voice which sends all the class to whistle jokingly, except Carson.
‘’No, you can’t do that.’’ She shakes her head violently,’’ we have been together for four months and you throw all that away for some sick past love story?’’ my eyes widen at her last words, knowing that he told her about me, he glances at me quickly but then returns to her with a poker cool face.
‘’Babe, you’ve been played and now it’s over.’’ He says it slowly and painfully to Carson, which considering she’s dating him for fame, all vanishes in front of her eyes.
She squeals and hits him on the chest but it barely even stung him, she gives out a scream and storms out of the class, that must’ve been pretty hard but actually funny, the whole class laughs about her and mocks her for being melodramatic.
Levi grins at them all and goes back to staring at me without everyone’s attention; I break the eye contact right away and just look ahead, waiting for the awfully late Literature teacher, I know if I look back, he’ll think I forgave him when I won’t ever.
‘’Hey, do you mind if I take this seat beside you?’’ brown-eyed with black straight hair asks me and I just tell to her that I don’t mind, she looks too perfect to be real, she has an open personality, you can tell right away when she smiles at you, well, whoop, I get a new partner.
‘’Oh, I’m sorry, I haven’t introduced myself,’’ her calm voice says and adds, ‘’I’m Amy Leland, nice to meet you.’’ She smiles opening at me and I return her lovely gesture, shaking her hand briefly before setting it on my lap, ‘’hi, I’m DianaRose and you too.’’
''So, what's the thing between you and mister hottie there?'' Amy points at Levi, i would've scold her if he notices but he doesn't, his back to us, chatting away with his friends, but i become shocked when she asks about me and Levi.
''N-no, nothing.'' i stutter surprisingly, i look down at my hands, a bad habit when i lie to people, but she only rolls her eyes and ties her hair back.
''Obviously.'' she says sarcastically and i look at her with amusement.
''What do you mean?'' i ask breathlessly and she just snorts.
''Come on, you think i didn't notice Levi staring at you and you staring back, it's so obvious that he's into you, why don't you give the lad a chance?'' before i could answer, she adds, ''are you these types of girls who wants to wait to find the right one so she could marry him and run away?'' her eyes widen and i shake my head, giving a small throaty laugh.
''We don't have a thing for each other, if we would, i'd kill myself.'' i shoot in sarcasm and she just shakes her head.
''You guys are both in denial.'' she frowns but then she smiles evily at me and at Levi.
There's something planning in her mind, oh shit, can i wake up now?
