Beast Boy sat upon the boulder, staring out at the glassy water. Crickets chirped in miniscule crevices, not knowing that if they were being heard or not. The young changeling felt a peace that was not entirely foreign, but a feeling he hadn't experienced in quite a long time. A beat up case lay next to him, decorated in stickers. Its owner, a beautiful, mahogany guitar, sat in Beast Boy's lap. A wind ruffled his green shocks of hair. Suddenly, the grey sky began to turn into a mass of gold, orange, and rose. He smiled, basking in the glory of a simple act of nature. He began to fiddle with the neck of the instrument. "Morning, Raven," He said quietly, slightly averting his attention from th task. She sat down next to him in sweatpants and a t-shirt. "I never understood how you could do that." He chuckled. "Sensing things isn't something only you have, my friend." She scoffed playfully. "Please..." BB laughed again. "Done!" She turned her gaze to him. Emerald met amethyst. Violet met jade. He strummed the guitar once. Then, he began to play. Raven scooted over and lay her head on his shoulder. Beast Boy blushed and kissed her forehead while playing a soft melody.

Together, the pair watched the fiery sphere ascend into the sky.
