Beast Boy sat with Cyborg, pounding away furiously at the controller keys. "Watch out, little man! You're about to witness me kicking your butt--again!" The changeling laughed. "Not today, tin-can! I'm feelin' lucky. That means, you're goin DOWN!!" "And you'd better believe it," Raven added dryly. Beast Boy laughed, pointing at her and grinning. "Behold. my awesome support team!" She scoffed, rolling her eyes while hiding a small blush. The game continued. Beast Boy's avatar, a US soldier, crept along the mass of overturned tanks, piles of rubble, and fragments of debris. The avatar scanned the area. He opened fire on a mass of zombies that hadn't seen him yet. They were caught like deer in headlights. Cyborg's avatar, a zombie assassin, caught Beast Boy from behind, attempting to slash the soldier to bits. But, the attack was avoided, since BB jumped back. The killer gave a gurgled hiss. The changeling gamer grinned slightly, a breath of determination slipping between his teeth. "Looks like someone's got a plan," Raven taunted sarcastically. "Tell me, Rae!!!" Cyborg pleaded childishly. She smirked, wagging her finger, clicking her tongue thrice. "Not gonna happen, steel boy." With a growling laugh, the soldier slashed and attacked with a mass of bullets, causing the assassin to fall with a dramatic screech. K.O. WINNER: BEAST BOY FALLING OPPONENT: CYBORG. The words flashed across the screen. "You fought valiantly, my friend, but I still kicked your metal butt, Cy!" Beast Boy stood on the couch, dancing in a circle. Raven stifled a laugh, shaking her head. "Alright, that is quite enough, Garfield." She held up a hand, making him sit down. Beast Boy stuck out a tongue, playfully shoving her while winking secretly. The sorceress shoved him right back, giggling under her breath. "What is up with you two?!" Cyborg exclaimed as he strode out the door. "You should be happy, Cyborg. At least the eternal bickering is gone," Robin's voice called from somewhere down the hall. "Robin is correct! It appears the opposites of the Teen Titans are not as different as they appear!" Starfire noted cheerfully as she carried a joyful Silkie outside.
Cyborg shrugged, muttered something about crazy illusions or doubles, and retreated to the garage, hoping he could forget it with some mechanic downtime.
Little did he know that the change was not any sort of illusion at all.
