Chapter 16

"Ming, just stay" Forth said to me as I got up, I sighed and sat down. "Here" he have me a bottle that he had on his side

"Thanks P" I told him as I took the bottle from his hands

"So, it's over?" he asked me "Yes, P"

"Well, better now than later" he sighed and took a sip

"So you and Beam?" I asked

"It was only on my side, I tried my best.... He never started or encouraged" " he replied with a chuckle "if nothing else – they are both honest about their feeling to others"

I smiled back "That they were"

"So, how are you?" he asked me

"Honestly, I am fine.... Somewhere in my heart I knew it would never work P" it felt strange talking to Forth, but it was easy to be honest with him "So... I guess, I was expecting this to happen"

He took another sip and said nothing

"It is weird..... I should be more upset, but I am not" I continued looking at the vast blue

"Good for you" he said "One day... we will find someone we both deserve"

I nodded "Yes, yes we will.... until then" I took another sip and smiled at him extending the bottle I had in my hands

"Friends" he replied smiling.

We then continued to drink in silence, each lost in our own thought.

"I am sorry Pha, but Ming needs me... I will call you later" Yo said over the phone, I sighed and disconnected.

So, Kit broke up with Ming – this is what he meant by following his heart. I took a deep breath, he must be sulking alone somewhere.

I quickly dressed and called Forth to cancel our plans

"Hello" Forth answered slowly

"Hi Forth" I said, thinking how much should I let him know

"Pha...." He was silent "Are you with Kit?"

What, how did he know? "No, but why are you asking.... How did you know"

"Ming, is sitting next to me looking as if someone tore his heart out, that would mean only one thing" he sighed

"Okay, please stay with him." I said "Yo is on his way"

"Hmmm"

"Sorry, this weekend turned out to be like this... but I guess we are going to drive back"

"Yeah... I guessed it.... " he said "Did you call Yo?" I could hear him ask Ming, but I could not hear Ming's response

"Who informed Yo?" he asked me

"Kit" I replied

"Hmmm..." he then asked me "Is Beam with you?"

"No" where is he? "I am going to call him next, but I need to find Kit first" I told him that and disconnected my call, I stepped out of my room trying both Beam and Kit's number but neither answered

Only if these guys were more honest about their feelings.... I sighed, a bit annoyed and worried – I started looking for my idiot friends.

There he was, sitting on the table looking.... What the hell is that look, it was neither happy or sad, he looked.... i couldn't find the right word

"Kit" I called him out loud as I shook him back to this world

He looked a bit taken aback "Hey, Pha" he smiled

"What the hell happened?"

"You know, why else would you be here... looking like this?"

I so wanted to hit him, and I would have hit him had he not looked so broken.... yes broken. That's weird

"How are you?"

"Relieved" he said

"Hmmm" I was silent waiting for him to continue

"Is Yo with him?" he asked me

"Yes"

He took a deep breath, "He will be okay.... he will be okay"

It looked like he was telling it to himself and not anyone in particular.

"Sorry" he said looking at me "I know this puts you in a difficult spot"

I shook my head "It does, but... " I sighed "Leave it.... All I am worried is about is you"

"You are a good friend" he said

"Not good enough, I must not have pushed you guys" I sighed, it was selfish of me to ask Beam to date Forth yesterday.  "Did you talk to Beam?"

"No, but i think he is with Forth" he sighed in defeat.

These morons really did love each other, and it was not only I who has been blind to it... these buffoons were too. I need to fix  this.  

"I need you to do something for me" I told him

"Anything" he offered and smiled

"I will hold you to it, now get back to our room" I almost dragged him out and left him at the doorstep of our room. "Now stay here"

I let out a heavy sigh, now for the next idiot.
