Have you found what you're passionate about in life? Well, I have and I live to share my passion with others; hoping that I can give even a small sliver of the happiness that I feel. My hope is to never lose my passion and for one day that you find your passion.

Hello, my name is A.J. Hastings; I'm 17 years old, openly gay ballet dancer. I have emoish style hair that is dirty blond but sometimes I dye it black in color. I have amazing deep blue eyes and a dancer's body is firm and I have muscles in all the right places and if I do say so I, my ass is damn sexy. I live with my mom since her and my dad divorced when I was four years old. My mom is a Pharmacist at the pharmacy in our town. My dad is, well at his last known paying job, a construction worker. Dad likes to keep paying jobs for about a month or two then he either quits or gets fired.

He keeps jobs long enough to pay enough on his child support to not have a warrant issued for back child support before he disappears again. My dad is always a no show on his allotted 'parenting time' not that I mind that he never shows. When he used too I hated spending time with him because ninety percent of the time he was drunk and would beat me or wouldn't feed me the whole time. Mom finally figured it out when I was probably nine or ten years old and I flinched when she touched my back and I had three helpings of dinner that night.

Mom and I have an awesome relationship, she's my parent and at times she's my friend who I can talk to about things in life. I do feel horrible that my mom hasn't dated in the last thirteen years because she says her priority is me and not some man that she could date. I'm grateful for everything that she does for me every single day. She works hard to provide everything that we need and she pays for my dance lessons and all the items I need for dance.

"Mom, are you ready to leave?" I holler upstairs from the front door that is located in the living room. I settle my backpack strap over my right shoulder as mom enters the living room with all her items for the day.

"We need to get you a car soon, A.J. That way you don't need to take my car to dance rehearsals after school and then have to drop off or pick me up from work," she says as I shut the door and lock it behind her.

I shake my head as we climb into her silver 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. "I don't mind dropping or picking you up from work, mama, I promise. I don't need a vehicle, you do enough," I argue as we drive to the pharmacy.

"A.J., I want to get you a vehicle, besides when you start dating again; you're going to want your own vehicle not your mom's to go on dates with." I open my mouth to argue with her but she beats me to this. "I'm doing this so stop arguing, we're going to go next month to find you a car, end of discussion."

I nod slightly as I pull into her work. "Thank you mama, I appreciate everything you do," I say as I gently kiss her cheek in goodbye.

"You're welcome, baby, have a good day. I'll see you tonight," she says before kissing my cheek. I wave as she enters the back door of her job before I back out and to school.

After parking the car in the parking lot of the school, I lock the car before heading inside the building heading to my locker before finding my friends. Well I don't have to look very far, all three of them are standing at my locker waiting for me.

"Hey Jax, Miles and Adam," I greet them as I open my locker door and throwing my bag inside and grabbing out my first three classes - History, English and Science as the four of us head to our first class.

The four of us find our seats in the back of the class. Miles and I are at the last table in the row as Jax and Adam are at the table in front of us. "So plans for this weekend?" Jax asks.

Miles and I grin at each other as we answer together, "Dance practices Friday and Saturday."

Jax and Adam both give us small groans. "When are you two done practicing on Saturday? We want to go out say to a party or something," Adam says. Adam and Jax have no issues with Miles and I dancing but they hate how much time consuming dancing is for us. Jax and Adam are both on the football and baseball teams, so they know how time consuming practicing can be.
