During halftime of the homecoming game, Miles wanders over to the concession stand to grab himself a water, leaving Gavin and I to talk.
"So, A.J. do you have a girlfriend?" he asks casually but there seems to be underlying tone that I can't quite place.
Shaking my head at him as I answer, "No, no girlfriend for me, I'm in to guys not girls."
His face seems crestfallen as I say this, that's weird. "So, is Miles your boyfriend then?"
Laughing I smile brightly at him. "No, Miles isn't my boyfriend, he's my best friend and we dance in the same company together that's all."
Gavin's lips instantly form into a huge smile surprising me when he asks, "I know this might be sudden but would you please be my boyfriend?"
Smiling as my face flushes a deep red I nod. "I would love to be your boyfriend!"
Sliding myself closer to Gavin, I slid my arm around his waist while laying my head on his shoulder as he wraps his arm around my shoulder and he gently lays his head on top of mine as Miles comes back to sit on my other side. Miles smirks at me as he takes in how Gavin and are I together.
"Are you guys dating now?" Miles asks with a smile that reaches his eyes. I nod at him happily. We watch and cheer for Adam and Jax for the last two quarters of the game before Miles, Gavin and I wait for the two of them to come out of the locker room before all of us head to our own houses.
"Text me when you get home, okay, babe?" Gavin says to me quietly in my ear after he walked me to my car.
I blush hard at him calling me 'babe'. "I will we can even text or facetime for a while tonight if you would like," I tell him. He agrees as he leans down to gently kiss me on the lips.
Once home I say a hello to my mom, who is in the living room watching a movie, as I head to my bedroom. Pulling my cell out of my back pocket, I pull up my contacts and find Gavin to facetime him, which we ended up doing this for three hours before we decided to call it a night. We decided to go to the homecoming dance together with Miles since that was my original plan. Yes, I did make sure Miles was alright with this and he was more than fine with it.
The homecoming dance starts at 7 p.m. and Gavin insisted on picking me up at 5 p.m. to take me out to dinner before we arrive at the dance. It's currently 4 p.m. and I need to start getting ready and I have no idea what to wear. So, instead of starting it off by picking my clothes out, I shower first and do the rest of my bathroom stuff before standing in my closet looking at my clothes.
"Mom, I don't know what to wear tonight," I say to her standing in the living room with just a towel wrapped around my waist. Mom looks up at me and laughs at my face before standing and coming to my bedroom to help me find something to wear since I only have twenty minutes before Gavin is going to be here.
"What were you going to wear when you were only going to go with Miles?" she asks flipping through my dress shirts.
Shrugging I tell her, "A black long sleeve button up and a pair of black dress pants."
"Then wear that," she states simply like it was the easiest thing ever.
"Fine, I guess that will work, thanks mom," I say as she leaves my room.
"You're welcome, baby boy. I want pictures before you two leave tonight," she hollers back as she walks down the stairs. Finding my clothes I dress quickly then head into my bathroom to put on my axe body spray before grabbing my wallet and heading downstairs with five minutes to spare before Gavin arrives at 5 p.m. on the dot.
