Destiney's POV:

It's the simple things, things like her smile and the way her eyebrows furrow as she looks down to her phone screen. Even just now, sitting with her, I notice these things. These confusing and happy and just insignificant little things that bring me so much joy.

That's my problem though. These things make me happy, yeah, but for what reason? Why those things? Why her? Why me? Questions like these would keep me distracted for hours.

"Uh... Destiney?" I notice Soley wave her hand back and forth in front of my face in concern.

"Huh...?" I blink and snap my head up to meet eyes with her.

In reply, Soley rolls her eyes as a smile begins to etch itself across her face. That smile. That darned smile.

"We should go do something." she suggests, standing up and dusting the dirt off of her pants.

Yes, dirt. We sit, or now stand, in the center of a park, nearby to both of our houses. I momentarily stare at her blanky, before standing up.

"You got your butt dirt in my mouth." I mutter aloud unintentionally.

Immediately, Soley's face reddens at the choice of my words. She utters nothing but "Oops." before spinning on her heels and heading in the opposite direction that we had come from.

"Well, since we are heading this way, how about we stop at the gas station and maybe buy snacks?" I throw in, running after her.

She shrugs, clearly not really listening. Ouch, you moody bum that I love and care for so much but refuse to admit to anything.

And to think, I figured that when I finally liked someone, I'd be open about it. Not that I won't, because I totally don't like anyone yet. Right?
