Chapter 5: Changing A Past

Later that night when Jake was sleeping, he had a dream.

-1:20 am-

I was standing up in the hospital and it looked like the time when I was born, and I was approaching my parents and me when I was a baby. I was wondering why I was running at them. My dad and mom and uncle were looking at me.

My dad started to run towards me with a punch telling me to back off, looking like to protect the family. I also sense someone chasing after me also. I suddenly woke up...

"Ahhh!!......what the hell? Wonder what the fuck that meant", said Jake stood up startled. I sighed telling myself it was just a dream and not real. So I went back to sleep.

Than I got up hours later and it was 7:30 am. It's time to start the day. Just had to brush my teeth and stuff like always. I wondered what was gonna happen today. Maybe someone might ask me for help to change their pasts, who knows. I just need to be careful.

Time travel can be dangerous. I wouldn't remember anything if I succeeded the change in time from the mutant. That mutant would be the only one that remembers what happened. Well anyway time to get going. It was Tuesday. I than heard my vibrating about twice. I went over and picked it up and it had a message and it said, "They will all die, I'm doing this to save us", said the unknown text.

"What.....the hell?!", said Jake with a cold shiver going through his body. I wondered who is texting me so I texted back and said, "Who is this this I'm talking to?", replied Jake feeling like sitting down on his bed for second. It replied back, "Your brothers only brother"...... I just froze in shock for awhile and my heart was beating the fastest its ever been.

I didn't believe whoever was texting me so I just turned off my phone thinking its just some random person being a fucking dick. So I threw my phone against my wall and my phone broke. Outside my room some mutants heard the loud sound.

Logan was outside just walking by till he head that sound. "What was that noise?", Logan asked himself sensing the noise came from Jakes room. "Hello? Jake you ok. Are you awake?", asked Logan knocking on James room door.

"Uh! Yeah I'm ok! Just...got startled for second!", said Jake breathing hard. "Ok, good morning by the way", said Logan with a worried look. "Good morning Logan", replied Jake taking a deep breath. Logan just walks away wondering what was he up to.

"Ok.. Just forget about it.... It was just a text from some random guy... But the message said Im your brothers only brother. That would be....me that I'm aware of. Maybe I'm just seeing things, I don't know.

I walked around and picked up my broken pieces from my phone. Shit that was my only communication with my family and Emma. I just sighed and walked out the door. So I headed on to my classes.

While I was in class I kept seeing that girl from yesterday keep looking at me and kinda smirked. I mean...shes cute, she must be around my age. So when class was done I walked out and she came up to me and asked me a favor.

"Im sorry we haven't properly met, I'm Melissa. We talked a bit yesterday asking if you were ok for something. And I heard you can time travel", said the cute girl holding out her hand.

"Nice to meet you, names Jake and yes, I can time travel", said Jake shaking Melissa's hand having a bin. I almost knew already what she was going to ask, "Oh cool! I can turn into water for my mutation. Id like to ask you a favor for me", said Melissa having her chin down.

I don't know why I asked but I already knew what she wanted. "What you do need?", asked Jake lifting her chin back up. "Can I ask you to change something of my past that I wanted to change from the very beginning it happened", asked the girl kindly moving her thumbs back up forth on her books she was holding.
