your father wasn't as devastated as you expected when your mother died. his eyes were shaky not because of loneliness but rather, guilty. he was the reason why your beloved mother died. he was the root cause of her death.

expecting your father to refuse your permission for him to remarry, you were shocked that he agreed. his smile that day when you said those words, he seemed happy. why would he be happy to remarry when your mother just died?
