"ok, so?" you started. 

you raised your eyebrows when you saw a cappuccino shake in front of you. "how did you know that's my favorite?" you raised your eyebrows even more. 

"well, uhh, it was always your favorite?" she said, awkwardly. she was fiddling with her fingers and sipping her strawberry milkshake every minute. you sighed mentally that you felt your heart soften for a second. 

she remembered your favorite shake. you thought she never really cared. okay, or maybe she never really did but this kind of things will not go unnoticed and it made you really happy that she remembered, at least.

god, you are so hopeless, y/n. are you really going to forgive her just like that?

"okay." you dryly replied. "go," 

"i don't even know where to start but here i go..." 

"i was insecure. that's where all it started. my family was living happily until then, i learned that my mother had an affair. i didn't want to speak a word, afraid that it will ruin my family, so i kept quiet and still. i go to school then go back home, eating dinner with both mom and dad knowing that mom was lying to my father. " she gulped for a second and sipped her drink before continuing.

"anyway, to make it short, my father eventually found out about it and got divorced with my mom." she sighed, "and then, my mother remarried your father." you noticed that her jaw clenched for a second before relaxing again. 

"you were lovely. no doubt my mother would love you because she really did. i was starting to get out of the image of her family. it was always you and your father. it made me really insecure and then, thinking of you taking away from me, i hated it. but before you start, i know you're not taking anything away from me intentionally, it's just that that's how i see it before. i was feeling alone and no one was there for me." 

"i got so insecure then i found out about your boyfriend, yoongi." you froze at the mention of your ex's name. you breathing ragged as you waited for her to continue. were you ready for this? were you ready to know the truth? you weren't. but what other choice do you have? none. you wanted to know. despite everything she did, she was still your sister; by blood or by not. 

"i told him something i shouldn't and he was forced to cheat on you. everything was planned, y/n. he didn't cheat on you because he doesn't love you. he cheated on you because he had no choice. he had to do it or else, i would something to you that yoongi would really hate." your hands began to shake, your forehead creasing. what was she talking about? you were so confused! 

"what the hell are you talking about?" you harshly asked, "are you just saying all of this so i could go back to him and then, get cheated again?" you accused. 

"no, y/n! listen to me." she held your hand tightly as she continued, "i am telling you all of this so you could be happy again. i both wounded you and yoongi. he didn't want to do it but i forced him out of his will. i had to do it because i hated you! 

"what's yoongi got to do with being happy again? what's this that you wounded both of us?" 

"i-it wasn't his intention, y/n. i'm sorry. i ruined everything. i ruined him and you." 

"i knew something from the past that would affect you so much. i used that to make yoongi cheat on you. he didn't want you hurt that's why he chose stopping me by cheating on you."

"he didn't want me hurt but he chose you to cheat on me. " you bitterly replied. "what exactly are you saying? what is this something from the past that affect me so much? tell me." you angrily demanded, still keeping your voice low and quiet. 

"i-- promise me one thing, y/n." 

"what is?" 

"promise me that after all this, you'll have to remember that yoongi and i would always be by your side." you eyes narrowed at her words. 

"are you telling me to trust and believe in you and him? i don't think i can do that. you've lied to me before. you ruined me before. he cheated on me. i don't think i can do that." you firmly said. 

"but you have to. you have to have someone, y/n once you know everything. and again, i told you, yoongi didn't cheat on you, okay? i made him do it for a reason, gosh." she scowled, she was definitely frustrated that you wouldn't get her point that yoongi didn't cheat on you. she mentioned it to you multiple times already but you wouldn't let go of the idea. 

she was starting to lose patience but she kept still and tried to push through. she really wanted to fix all of this. she wanted apologize for everything. she was being sincere. truly sincere. 

"now let me speak, okay? and hold my hand as i tell you the story because i think this is the right time to tell you about the past."
