chapter 18

*le time skip*

I stand outside the house Jeff has chosen as the first house for tonight. my heart is pounding with excitement. Jeff pats me on the shoulder. "okay. just remember to be quiet and just watch"

I nod at him smiling. "okay. I will" he nods picking the lock and quietly steps inside; knife in hand. we quietly make our way up the stairs stepping heal to toe coming upon a door.

he nods at me signaling me to open the door. I do so slowly to prevent it from producing a sound. once its wide open we step in the room.

its dark but I can tell its the room of an adult. the walls from what I can tell is a light green, the sheet chocolaty. I go and quietly stand against the wall as I was told to do beforehand by Jeff. He stands by the victims bedside.

I hear a shuffling in the bed. I think she may be waking. then I know she has when I hear a muffled scream. Jeff's hand over her mouth. I can see Jeff grin through his cut in smile.

out the corner of my eye I see a figure in the doorway. I can make it out as a male. he looks about my age making his way towards Jeff with a hatchet.

my eyes widen and pupils dilate as a sudden instinct to kill kicks in. the pure desire to protect Jeff clouding my thoughts.

my eyes dart around looking for something to use. my eyes fall upon a softball bat. perfect....

I quickly grab it charging at the male. he hardly has enough time to register what is happening. but swings his hatchet at me on reflex. our weapons hitting one another in unison. the hatchet blade lodging itself in my shoulder.

despite the pain I feel I continue to bash the young male's skull in. I begin laughing uncontrollably as his warm blood splatters on my face. at this point I know he's dead so I stop.

Jeff has already gutted the girl. and is now turned around looking at me in awe. he couldn't believe I have already had my first kill.

I dislodge the tool from my shoulder panting a bit. "did I do well?"

Jeff smiles nodding. "I've never been so proud of anyone in my life."

the crazy thing is it felt good. and I ached for another kill. it was like a drug I needed. and I knew then that this was the start of something new.

and new chapter in my life.....I think I'll call it.
