Pit Stop

Slyvester's POV

We've been traveling for what we have counted as two full moons since we boarded this capsule. There is a scheduled pit stop on who knows where, since we are in the middle of nowhere. Dagger and Keeper have planned on wedding at this pit stop since we don't know when we are going to stop again. Ebonine and I have been building our relationship as well as watching and caring for Autumn. 

"Everyone make your way to the nearest exit, please. Please be back by dinner." We hear over the pager.

There is a knock at the door. I open it to see Dagger and Keeper, holding hands and smiling. I smile.

"Ebie," I say picking up Autumn, "Time to go."

"Alright. This'll be fun!" Ebie says coming out into the corridor, locking the door behind her and putting the key in her bag.

The four of us exit the capsule and onto a platform full of flowers and non-flowers. That man's blue! Wow, where are we? We wonder for a bit, but Keeper quickly finds someone willing to wed him and Dagger. We follow the fellow to a building and he prepares the space. Soon the short ceremony is over and Keeper and Dagger's flowers have intertwined. They separate, but continue to hold hands. We thank the man and pay him the little money we were given as we left the capsule. Ebonine pulls me and Autumn away from Dagger and Keeper.

"Come, I saw a little shop back that way. It might have something to put in our compartment." Ebonine says, smiling.

We walk back the way we came and found the little shop. We buy a gift for Dagger and Keeper than a few clothes for the girls. We also get a couple little things for our compartment. We find Dagger and Keeper back on the capsule, though we still have a lot of time before we need to be back. We sit in the middle area of the capsule. I beat Dagger at a game of choch, but then he beats Keeper. We all talk and play with Autumn. The other flowers are coming back. Suddenly someone slaps me upside of the back of my head.

"Hay!" I say, turning around to find my new friend, Dirt.

"What did you guys do?" He asks us.

To reply Dagger and Keeper hold up their hands, showing the metal band around their second fingers on their right hand. 

"Sweet!" Dirt exclaims, then looks at Ebonine and I expectantly.

"Not yet." Ebie says, squeezing my hand.

"Well Snow and I have been talking about, but honestly I don't think she's over her Boo from her home planet." Dirt replies, a sad look in his eyes.

"Hey, cheer up Dirt. She'll forget him soon and then maybe we'll get a little Dirt running around reaching havoc." I say smirking, this causes everyone to laugh.

We are brought dinner, then as instructed, retire to our compartments. Ebonine gets Autumn to sleep then sits next to me.

"I'm scared. No one chosen ever returns." She says looking at her hands.

"Hey, don't be scared. Whatever happens, know I'll be here with you." I say, making her look at me.

"Promise?" she asks.

"Promise." I reply.
