"We got it... Phew..." Caleb said, panting as he put the bag on the ground. He dug through it, making sure stuff was still in there. Sure enough, Wolfie's Pokeball as well as 3 empty Pokeballs were in there.

"Hey, Caleb. You might not like this idea, but..." Wolfie started to say.

"Hm?" Caleb was curious.

"...would you let me catch you?" Wolfie stated.

"Why? Isn't it weird for a Pokemon to own a Pokemon?" Caleb argued.

"You're a Pokemon too." Wolfie said.

"Ummmmm... I wasn't at first." Caleb really just didn't wanna be caught.

Wolfie sighed. "Whatever." Caleb put the backpack back on his back.

A trainer was walking down the Route towards Littleroot. He was headed to Simon's house to hang out. As he was walking, he noticed an unusual duo; a Buizel and a Poochyena. He was way more interested in the Buizel. "Wow, a Buizel! I thought those didn't live here in Hoenn! No way am I passing this chance up!" He runs towards them, pulling a Pokeball off his belt. "Bushel, come on out!" He throws the Pokeball towards the Buizel, a Grovyle coming out, staring directly at Caleb.

Caleb looked over at the Grovyle, startled and scared. "EEP! Wolfie, help!" Wolfie jumped in front of Caleb immediately, preparing to use a Fire Fang.

The trainer stood there, waiting on the Poochyena to move out of the way. "Move it, this isn't your battle!"

"Caleb, run! Run to Route 103!" Wolfie yelled.

Caleb started booking it towards Route 103, but the trainer used this as an oppurtunity. "Bushel, Leaf Blade!" The Grovyle uses Leaf Blade on Caleb, causing him to stumble and fall over from the super-effective attack. Wolfie runs over to the Grovyle and uses Fire Fang on it.

The trainer grabs the Poochyena. "Hey, this isn't your fight. Go run off somewhere." He then continues to hold him. "Bushel, another Leaf Blade!"

Caleb struggles to get up, being hit by another Leaf Blade. The Poochyena bites the trainer's hand, causing him to drop the Poochyena. The trainer seems to not mind though, pulling out an empty Pokeball and tossing it at Caleb.

The Pokeball wiggles once, then twice, then a third time, and then... Ding! Caleb was caught. Wolfie quickly grabs the Pokeball with his mouth and runs off, leaving the backpack behind.

"Hey, get back here, you didn't catch that Buizel, I did!" The trainer yelled, chasing after Wolfie. Wolfie had heard the trainer and kept a mental note that Caleb was called a Buizel. The Grovyle follows him as well.

Wolfie continued to run, running down Route 102 instead, the Pokeball containing Caleb still in his mouth. The trainer continues to chase after Wolfie. "Get back here with my Pokemon!" The trainer pulls out another Pokeball and throws it at Wolfie, but instead of catching him, it bounced right off. "Huh?!"

Wolfie isn't fazed one bit as he jumps into a bush, hiding from the trainer. The trainer gets an idea. "Hey, Bushel, stay here and watch the Poochyena. Make sure it doesn't get away with my Buizel." The Grovyle nods as the trainer runs back to Route 101.

Wolfie sets the Pokeball down on the ground and presses the button, releasing Caleb from the Pokeball. "Wh-wha-?"

"Shhhh! Keep it down! I'll explain later." Wolfie whispered.

Caleb says nothing else. Wolfie picks up Caleb's Pokeball and leads Caleb further down Route 102, remaining concealed in the bushes. The Grovyle notices this and follows them down the route silently.

The trainer had headed back to Route 101. He had intended to grab the backpack and search through it. However, Simon had beat him to it. "Hey, Simon!"

Simon looks at the trainer. "Oh, hey Nate!"

"Uh, can I have that backpack? A Buizel I caught was carrying it." The trainer, whose name was apparently Nate, asked.

"A Buizel? This is Caleb's backpack..." Simon responded. "Wolfie had apparently grabbed it in an attempt to find him."

"What? Then why did the Buizel want it?" Nate asked.

"I'm not sure, but we should check," Simon replied. "Where is the Buizel?"

"With a Poochyena, which was probably Wolfie... He was being very protective of the Buizel..." Nate says.

"Hmm... Strange. Come on, let's go. Lead the way," said Simon.

"Right." Nate started walking back to Route 102. Simon had followed him. When they got there, Grovyle had moved to the end of the route. "I now feel bad about catching the Buizel," Nate said. "If it was Wolfie's friend..."

"I have a theory, but I'm missing the reasoning..." Simon said.

"Huh? Do tell," Nate replied.

Simon looked "What if... the Buizel is Caleb?"
