Iridescent:

I couldn't sleep last night, I had been pacing since the sky was dark, now the earth's sun is coming in.

I don't know what she would say.

What she said last night has been repeating constantly in my mind, though every word was sweet, I don't know if I could do this anymore.

I was still in Nai's clothes from yesterday afternoon but they were actually quite comfortable.

I walked over to the door, opening it slowly and heading towards the stairs, reaching downstairs I catch view Jasper in some human pants and something covering her breast. It was the only thing she had on.

I felt my face grow hot, why does she do this to me?

" Iri?"

I shook out of my thoughts to see a concerned Jasper look down at me.

" you okay?", she asked.

I took a breath. " I-I know that my legend says that I have to serve you for the rest of my life, and I've tried. But I know this isn't my destiny.", I said.

Jasper looked at me emotionless.

" you are a pleasure but I-"

Jasper turned around, I watched her walk towards the front door. She opened it fully, showing the view of Beach City. Her head looked down towards the wooden floor.

She sighed. " Iridescent. I care about you. Your loyalty and potential should be glorified by someone that can provide you the happiness you deserve. As of this very moment, I relieve you of your duty and you can live your own life.", she explained.

I was quite shocked at how willing she was to let me go, it made me sad... to say the least.

"  I-I just want you to be happy. If I didn't provide you with that, I-I'm sorry..", she said, finally looking up at me.

This is the sweetest and most sincere I've ever seen Jasper.

I looked back down and closing my eyes, waiting to hear the pattering of their tiny feet, why does this hurt so much?

I heard quick patter then a soft squeeze around my waist. I opened my eyes to see Iri holding me close, their face pressing into my stomach.

" I-I thought I could do it. I thought I could leave you but... I can't.", they muttered.

They looked up at me, their eyes watery. " you have been the kindest gem I've ever served, I would be stupid to let go of someone like you.", they said.

I looked into their gleaming eyes, the same ones I looked into when they sat in the kitchen. I placed my fingers under their chin, their skin soft like marble. Beautiful is an understatement.

I was soon startled by Iri placing their lips on mine, their small fingers placed on my cheek.

My chest fluttered as I began to kiss them back. I didn't know they knew this human sign of affection, but I was really happy they did.

My hands slowly slid down to their tiny waist, Iri pulled away from my lips, looking up at me.

" are you sure?", I whispered.

They took a minute. " yeah...", they smirked.

I closed the door behind me before leaning in for another peck.
