It was another new day of the week which was about to set as the sun started to sink towards the west. The sky turned glimmering golden under the mischievous rays of sunlight peeking it's way through the fluffy clouds. Underneath which, every creature seemed to rejoice itself as the beauty of nature is not a thing to disregard.
Apart from this, a mild soothing breeze was blowing all around. It made everything to sway under the influence of it, just like the bright, green leaves twirled, the empty swings swunged and the bells hanging by the doorways jingled euphoniously as the wind approached it. All of this produced a euphonious, calm, melodious sound, that was music to every creature's ear and soul.
FlASH......
Suddenly a few lustrous streams of lightning flickered in the plain sky and the sky changed it's color. In a flash of loud thunder it transformed from shinny golden to dull grey as huge rain droplets started to pour heavily. The sky growled as the thunder bolts striked it again and again until everything started to tremble with the vibrations.
Just then a plain blue bus with white tinted windows and a faint logo painted on it's left side. It stopped at the corner of the street that opened into a neighbourhood located in a beautiful and lush green locality of Islamabad. The neighbourhood was a moderately sized one with about ten houses distributed around a huge square pavement adorned with beautiful blue pottery tiles, painted flower pots with colorful flowers like lillies, carnations, roses and lastly the pavement was buried under the shadows of few huge date trees.
It was still raining very hard when the bus came to a halt and down stepped a tall young lady carefully handling her orange and grey striped backpack on her back and staring at the rain in admonishment while she gathered her wet hair altogether on her right shoulder. The strong wind howled once again as it rushed pass her and her umbre, wavy hair flew all over her face, completely veiling her for a slight moment. She brushed the hair off her face as she started to walk into an entirely wet street, rushing her way.
Her face was a round one with her cheek and collar bones poking out of her golden brown yet pale skin. Her dead straight umbre hair would compliment her face making her look gorgeous at times. Only a tinge of charm in her eyes and a soft curvy smile would be enough for her to wear on her face to look breathtaking. But hold on she never managed to look like that, maybe because she was never able to get that spark in her gloomy eyes and that soothing smile on her lips. All she managed to wear was a pair of dispirited eyes with a broad, false smile.
She was extremely thin almost look malnourished and was dressed in a blue black pair of pants with a yellow shirt till above her knees with a blue beaded neckline. On her right wrist she wore a dark blue wrist watch. She wore a pair of grey sneakers, perfectly suitable for such a weather and a perfectly conditioned backpack on her back.
She walked lousily past three houses and smiled in appraisal as she walked towards the main door of the fourth house in the row and rushed into the shade right beside the main door. She unlocked it and stepped inside.
"Mama, I am home." she announced stepping into the lounge in the meanwhile taking the bag off her shoulder.
"Maria, how are... oh you are totally drenched in rain." Naima, a woman in her early forties came out of the kitchen. She was dressed in blue loose trousers with a white lace shirt that went just below her knees. Her dress perfectly suited her lean but bulky figure. Her face was fair, round, with black eyes and chubby rosy cheeks. Her hair were curly and dark brown and neatly tied up in a side fish braid.
"I guess so." Maria replied hilariously noticing her wet clothes and squeezing water out of her wet hair.
"Go change your clothes, I'll get lunch for you." Naima told her while smiling and immediatly walked past her as she realized the broth had already boiled and was about to spill any moment.
"Okay. Where is Haider?" she asked her mother while looking around for him as she walked to her room beside the dining room.
"He went get some books from his friend, he'll be back any minute." Naima replied to her from the kitchen, while turning off the stove in relief because it was second away from drooling over.
Maria looked around for a moment and then walked into the lounge while glaring at the classic wooden wall clock and turned right towards her room and went inside her room locking it from inside.

It was late in the night, around one am such that only the owls howled all around. It was a huge building covered with glossy tinted glass from the outside while in case of the inside it comprised of plain grey and white walls and ceiling covered with cctv cameras, few lampshades hanging by the reception desk.
There were a few pieces of black leather furniture with spotless white tilled flooring. The place litrally echoed with a tinge of sophistication and class.
It consisted of narrow corridors through the building making it look more like a maze as the air in hollow AC vents echoed smoothly. Around the place, there were a number of brown colored, neatly polished doors probably leading to different rooms as mentioned on the labels outside them. It seemed like it's a professional institution. At this hour, it was all empty.
The only sounds that could be heard were the sound of random clicking of lights, the sound of air moving through the hollow ducts, the creaking sound of opening of one of those brown doors and smooth tapping of heels as if someone is approaching one of the doors from the inside.
The sound increased periodically, until a dark brown door, made of carved wood probably belonged to some authorized personel, creeked open as the door knob twisted clockwise. It shoved open revealing a tall and slim figure opening it. it was still opening the door but abruptly turned back leaving the door halfway as the woman heard the man inside, moaning painfully.
A man of moderate physique dressed in official attire, a pair of navy blue pants, white plain wrinkled shirt. He was lying uncomfortably on a black round office chair with blood oozing out of a savage wound on his abdominal region. His black eyes looked whitish as if he was about to take his last breath any moment, his round clean shaven, sweaty face was turning pale second by second and his dry lips murmered some words probably to that woman. The lady walked to him, tapping her heels on the floor and knelt down to him to meet his eye level. She devilishly smiled at him and rolled her cold eyes.
"Time to go." she said to the man who tried hard but could not utter a single word to her. He just kept gazing at her in amazement and pain.
"Wh.....w..hy....are y..o.. ..u do....in..g th.....is?" he asked her stammering in between.
"I guess I won't answer that today." she replied softly and laughed out loud. She pulled out a dagger with a dark brown handle and a silver sharp, very sharp blade, from her jacket, she positioned it rigid as ice just below his face. As she started to sway the dagger around his face, on several points like the area between his eyes, his right cheek, corner of his lips etc.
His eyes were involuntarily following her hand as he was almost paralyzed due to his wound and in a brief moment she slid the sharp blade of the dagger on his sweaty neck such that it could feel him gulping, while he struggled badly, moving his neck, arms and legs but wasn't able to dodge her. The very next moment she slit his throat brutally!
He died right in front of her slowly as the blood flowing out of the wound filled up his chair, his breathing became shallower and his soul departed his body. She stood up, pulling the sharp blooded knife roughly from the wound so that his blood splashed all around and also some of it covered her face.
Her umbre colored hair were neatly tied in a high pony tail which landed just below her shoulders though few strands from her hair were extremely disordered and rose above her ears and face. She had a golden brown complextion and perfectly contoured face with grey eyes glimmering with happiness, dominance and satisfaction.
She smirked as she raised her perfectly lean jaw line proudly, her fierce red eyes glimmered as she swayed her intense gaze all around the place. Her hair danced all over her deadly face as wind swooshed through the opened window pane.
She brushed those baby hairs off her face instantly, tucking them roughly behind her ear while she pulled out a silver shiny dagger soiled with fresh human blood. She smiled as she felt a swirl of euphoria running all through her body and mind.
She curved her parched lips into an evil smile and she wiped the blood off the dagger playing with every single drop of it. She loved the way the blood droplets would dangle by her sharp nails. She realized it was just like how she was still dangling by her past.
She was dressed in a pair of black faded jeans and a huge grey oversized hoodie with pair of grey boots with one inch high platform heel. After she exited the room she walked herself calmly towards the the main entrance of the building going through two corridors and reception.
After a few mysterious minutes she reached the entrance where she saw the guard laying unconscious on the ground and smiled cunningly at it.
She immediately pulled up her hoodie cap, partially veiling her face and left the building.
With no doubt life is full of surprises, just like everyone else every new day of her life would bring a series of new events for her deal with.'I am good but not an angel. I do sin but I am not a devil....'
