chapter three- mixed feelings and special training

~katsuki's POV~

(profanity warning: this is kacchan were talking about)

"hey katsuki, aren't you and midoriya good friends?" tweedle dum said.

"yeah, you went a little overboard today." tweedle dee added.

i growled, that nerd was getting on my nerves. "well it's his fault for getting in my way!" i said, kicking a bottle in anger. "dont let it get to you." one of the guys said.

"its been my goal ever since i was little, and well, i wont know unless i try. plus y/n is counting on me! i dont want to let her down kacchan." 

"tsk, hes just dreaming like a kid." i exploded a can of pop, and chucked it away, hitting one of them in the head. he was trapped against a wall, and yet he was still acting tough and talking big. so annoying. "then what about Y/N?" said tweedle dee, knocking me out of my thoughts. i hesitated. why did i hesitate damn it!? "she, doesn't matter. shes just another person in my way, stopping me from getting to the top. and plus-" 

"look out!" they both shouted in unison. i spared no seconds and spun around to face... "great! an invisibility cloak with a great quirk!"  a slimy bastard tryin to get in my way. i got into fighting stance was about to kick its ass when i heard footsteps sprinting towards us. "IZU-KUN WERE DID YOU GO!? hellllooo!!" that voice.. oh crap now i have to deal with her! i just hope she doesn't come down this way. i mean who cares! oh god! just kill me. i face the monster. "I'm the one you want right?!" i growl, pointing at the alleyway behind me, "so if someone else comes you wont do anything?!" i hear her come around the corner. "HEY BAKUGO HAVE YOU SEEN-" she paused damn it get away! "BAKUGOU RUN HE'S GONNA KILL YOU!! it almost happened to izu-kun earlier!" i tsk'ed. "YOU RUN!! I CAN BEAT HIM!! HE DOESN'T LOOK THAT TOUGH!!" i snickered to face him. but then was faced with a face full of slime. WHY CANT I BREATHE?? what is this stuff?! Y/N get away you stupid bastard!! fuck!!

it had turned me to face where y/n was, she looked terrified and clenched her fists. "I'll get help! dont you die you idiot!" she ran off. what a scared little- why cant i just! ARRGGH. I'll fight the monster as long as i can, after all he's not better than ME!! i hope you get help soon y/n! or ill never forgive you!!  

~y/n's POV~ 

i was running so hard trying to find a pro hero that my lungs felt they where closing up, come on y/n you need to find someone or Kacchan will probably die! And even though he is a stupid explosive firecracker, he's not that bad. Although I enjoy the peace and quiet when he's gone. I chuckled to myself, starting to pant from exhaustion. i bumped into some skinny, blond haired guy running towards where I came, where is he going in such a hurry? I wondered. I was about to look back when I bumped into someone else. We clashed and I fell to the ground, I winced, my breath heavy. "Y-y/n! Are y-you Okay?" I looked up and saw Izuku. A wave of relief flew through you and you just couldn't help yourself, you jumped at him giving him the biggest hug ever. He fell over with the impact.

"You scared me to death Izu-kun! I was so worried! Don't go randomly flying off like that!" We were on the ground, hugging, and I didn't realize the awkward position. But Izuku, was beet red, hugging you back to hopefully hide his embarrassment. "S-s-sorry y/n I just w-was in the moment and u-um..." He paused, "I kinda need t-to breath..." I giggle and got off of him, "hehe, yeah, sorry izu-kun." You took a minute to examine him to make sure he wasn't hurt. Then got up and reached down to help him up. Why's his face so red? "Izu-kun, are you hurt? your face is red." He shuffled in place, "n-no! I'm perfectly fine! U-um..." he cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck, "s-so, um, why were you running so fast? You seem out of breath." Oh yeah I needed to find a pro hero!  "Oh crud! Izu-Kun, katsuki's in trouble! He got attacked by the slime guy from earlier! We need to find a pro hero or-" 

"Y/n! Look there's a fire!" he pointed out to where... OH FUDGE! I started sprinting, "come on izu-kun he's in trouble!" I heard him behind me as we ran towards the site. I turned one last corner, And gasped. There was fire everywhere. Broken building debris and it was scorching hot. He had probably been going at it with this monster for ten whole minutes, he was clearly screaming. Or trying to, none of the noise came out from its slimy state. There were pro heros at the scene, but they couldn't do anything unless they were gonna hurt katsuki in the process. I was standing there feeling useless once again, the anger filling up that I couldn't do something, when I heard Izuku start screaming, what-? He sprinted towards the slimy criminal, no quirk, no powers, no protection. I screamed his name. But he continued clawing at the thing, trying to free Kacchan. I wasn't about to lose two people I cared about today. I was walking towards the mess when I heard those hope filled words, 

"DETROIT SMAAAASSSSHHHH!!" The wind impact it's self packed enough punch to make me fall back, I fell into someone's arms, catching my fall. I looked up into the melancholy eyes of the white and red haired boy, and I immediately forgot how to speak. "T-todoroki?! Omigosh! I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to, um, bump into you or anything. I just um-" "it's fine, are you okay?" He gave no expression, as he hoisted me up to my feet. It's endeavors son! He has the most amazing quirk ever! Ugh I would die to have a friend like him! You tried hard not to fangirl as you shuffled around, just then, it started raining. We both looked over to all might. His punch changed the weather. That's what it takes to be a pro.

I looked back at todorokis face, i had always seen him around, and he lived close to were me, katsuki and Izuku lived, so I would see him at the park sometimes. But he was always practicing his quirk. Never playing like the other kids. This had gained your attention, and you had always admired him, but now that he was in front of you... It seemed unreal. His eyes were pretty and two different colors. So unique.

You kept staring until you mentally slapped yourself. He would never like you, you probably seemed ridiculous and uncool to him. Not that he thinks low of others, but- "isn't that your friend over there?" I broke out of my daze and looked to what he was talking about.

Izuku ran to you, beaming so bright with slight tears in his eyes. "Y/n! I have something amazing to tell you! And I- um, who is he?" His smile turned confused. He gave a slight protective aura and you giggled. "T-this is todoroki Kun. He just helped me up is all." Todoroki gave a nod. Izuku grabbed my hand and dragged me away before I could protest. I was super confused and whimpered a little. But todoroki was right there... "Hey Izu-kun, what did you want to tell me?" Izuku smiled at me and stopped, his voice low, 

"All might is going to give me special training to be a hero!"
