UA School Love Square~ (bakugou x reader x todoroki x midoriya)

when we were young - part 1

I got home, through my front door and stretched really wide. Finally letting my hands drop to my side with a long sigh.

"You home honey?" my dad called from the kitchen.

"Yeah, but totally exhausted. I'm going right to bed okay?" i called.

"Yup, just don't wake up too early the morning tomorrow! You need your beauty rest." i let out a weak laugh. "Yeah, i will." i yawned and went up stairs. When i got into my room, i threw my bag to the other side of the room, making it slouch into the corner, as if it was as tired as me. I paid no mind, and flopped onto my bed.

"Augh... finally... sleep..." i hugged my pillow to my face and almost instantly fell into a dream filled haze.

A much younger Izuku went down to help bakugou up as i watched from above. "Here kacchan!" he leaned over and held out his hand. bakugou hesitated, but then smacked his hand away. "I don't need your help deku!" he got up and stomped away in the other direction.

"Hey izu-kun, you okay?"

I called as loud as i could as a tiny little kid. But before i could hear his answer, bakugou pulled me aside. "Huh?" he started dragging me away. "Huuuuuuuuuuuh?! Bakugou, where are you taking me?" he grinned evilly. "We don't need deku! We can go on adventures in the forest just you an' me!"

"Is he okay with this? I don't want to leave izu-kun behind!" bakugou didn't look at me as he hesitated. "Y-yeah! Of course! Deku totally, just, went home! Yeah, he got hurt down there and stuff. So he went crying home to his mommy." he chuckled, proud of his lie.

And although that seemed nothing like what izuku would do, it also somehow totally seemed like something he'd do. And plus bakugou would never lie to me. I'm his friend! Looked at all the pretty green grass start to appear more and more as we got closer to the forest. "Okay. i trust you bakugou let's go!"

He proudly chuckled. "Yes! On we go!" he let go of my hand and we started marching towards the woods.

"Soo what are we going to find? A froggy?" i jumped up and down.

"No, we're gonna explore, and maybe find a cave!" i grinned.

"Cool! But we can try and find a froggy, right?" he tsk'ed. "okay, fine. We'll find a froggy. But cave first!"

And so we marched over the broken wooden fence that marked the beginning of the path. Crickets and cicadas gently chirped around us. Birds and squirrels we're just getting out of their habitats in the dew of the midday sun. it was as pretty as a painting. And i looked around with stars in my eyes.

There was a clear blue sky, in which it had rained the day before. There was bright, emerald green trees sprouting from the ground. Which one had fallen in the middle of a path, and another over a lake. Which happened during the storm. We carefully crossed it, even if i lost my balance more than once. The ground had little animals and bugs. And i did not know this until bakugou picked up a cool rock, but didn't see the bugs slowly coming up from under the rick and onto his leg. We both screamed in horror and scrambled away.

Out of breath, we stopped in a clearing in the woods.

"I still, haven't... found... a froggy" i said in between deep breathes. But bakugou wasn't out of breath anymore. "I found a cave though!"

He was staring up at a giant, thick, tree, practically swallowing up a rock formation about twenty feet away. But there was still a conveniently sized hole right at the bottom. And bakugou was not about to pass up the chance to search through a giant gap in the ground.

"YAY!!" he yelled and then ran in there like he had no sense of danger. "Um bakugou i don't think-" he was gone. Even as a little kid this had annoyed me. If he was going to be an idiot, he can do so. I had an important goal.

FROGGY QUEST IS A GO!!

~after looking under every rock and leaf imaginable in that area~

"Where! Is! A froggy!" i kicked a rock. But wincing in pain soon after. "Owe." tears welled up in my eyes. "This is stupid." i sat down in the dirt and puffed my cheeks out in frustration. "Where's izu-kun. Where's bakugou. This is no fun."

I looked around for bakugou but couldn't find him anymore. He's just like the froggy now. But then i remembered he went into the cave.

The cave.

I never liked dark places. But little tiny me didn't have any common sense and just really wanted to go home. So i went straight into the cave even if every hair on my body said don't. DO IT.

I went into the cave, and it wasn't too bad, but it was very dim. But as long as i can see what's in front of me-

"Oof!"

"AH!"

"Bakugou why are you just standing around?"

"I-i thought i saw something!"

"Oh, your just being a scaredy cat!"

"N-no i wasn't! I really saw something! y/nnnnnn!" he whined.

I tilted my head. "Really? .... did it look like a froggy?"

"I'm serious!" he pointed to the air in front of him. "It was there! It tried to touch me!" i backed up a little bit, my nerves finally making me paranoid. Until he turned around. Saying something. But i couldn't hear. I saw the shadow move behind him and i instantly screamed. There was something there.

As i screamed, the already unstable formation that stood above us crumbled.

I woke up with a gasp. My hands flying up to clutch my chest, which was heaving unsteadily. My shock turned into laughter. "Oh geez, why would i remember that now?" i held my hand against my head. Taking in a deep breath. That was the scariest part of that memory too. Of course it got better. 

After all, i'm not dead now right?
