Chapter 11: The date

Jeffrey woke up in a slightly better mood than usual, after weeks of Havan and Respin pestering him and Haley they were going to go on a date to the mall, though not his choice of a fun date he didn't mind it just as long as she had fun. Jeffrey put on a clean pair of jeans and a shirt that looked nice not over the top but nice and got his shoes on. it felt so unfamiliar to him because of him wearing boots to keep his feet safe  when on missions. Jeffrey went into the kitchen humming and got in the truck with his mom to go pick up Haley.  Jeffrey got out and saw a tall man, the man seemed to try and be intimidating and it almost worked if it hadn't been for the fight with a dragon he would have felt some fear and just brushed it off to keep from breaking. The next person he saw was a woman, most likely Haley's mom. "Hello im Sharon and this is Scooter." the woman said in a slight perkiness  in her voice  that made Jeffrey almost have trouble to take her seriously and next came out Haley in a skirt and purple shirt wearing glasses she almost looked like someone from a cartoon so the families did their greetings and off went Haley and Jeffery to the mall. Haley had the whole day planned out for Jeffrey and her to keep on schedule but it just made Jeffrey laugh because of how almost frantic she was about it but it was a good day so far they started at the arcade were Jeffrey tried teaching Haley how to play first person shooters and beat em ups then Jeffrey lost to Haley at pool and air hockey. It wasn't until  Chase seemed to come out of nowhere laughing "Oh look at the love birds won't you fellas looks like Jeffrey wants to get his rod soaked all you gotta do is ask that's all i did." Chase boomed as other boys started surrounding the two of them "I did not you insufferable prick." Haley yelled as the boys drew closer to the two of them. Jeffrey looked around a the gang of boys and made a plan against them using what Balthazar taught him "You know that would almost be intimidating  Chase if you knew how to handle your own crap." Jeffrey said just before flipping and kicking one of the boys in the nose the others went for Jeffrey but Jeffrey ran to get them away from Haley and then he began the rest of his plan. One by one the boys threw punches as Jeffrey just kept blocking and dodging it wasn't until one pulled a knife that Jeffrey started throwing punches. He knocked several boys off their feet and onto the ground and then grabbed a random ladies bag that happened to be walking by and hit another in the face with it and gave it back. "Come on you useless asses get his scrawny ass already." Chase yelled angrily at the boys, they started to look nervous and so they all went for Jeffrey at once and jeffrey thought fast and ran then threw his body t them knocking them all on their backs and rolled to get back up. Chase was looking scared all of his "Buddies" got up and ran leaving just him and Jeffrey to fight it out "Well looks like we have on more." Jeffrey said with a cocky tone to his voice "But im nice so ill just let you off with a warning." Jeffrey began to walk away but Chase in a fit of rage grabbed a bar that they used to try and keep people out of the dirt when there are trees and plants and ran full force at Jeffrey and smacked him across the back of the head making him bleed "Fight you pussy." Chase yelled, Jeffrey turned around and looked at his hand covered in blood and gave a dark look to chase that made his skin crawl "Fine" Jeffrey walked to Chase and chase started swinging the bar wildly as Jeffrey just dodged and them when people ran away to get away from the increasingly violent fight Jeffrey called out Respins blood sword and cut the bar in half and kept cutting until all that was left was a length of Chases hand. Chase was terrified he had never seen anything like this before "Okay okay i surrender just don't hurt me please." Chase pleaded to Jeffrey and Jeffrey nodded "next time i won't be nice three strikes your out fucker." Jeffrey walked away with Haley to go get medical attention then continued the day as if nothing happened.
