It had been two weeks, and, Shawn had shown many signs of improvement. Elle, was ecstatic, because he'd be coming home today.

Elle, bounced her leg up, and down intensely as she sat in the Mendes' living room, with, Aaliyah, as they both waited for, Shawn, to walk through the front door.

"I can't wait to see him" Aaliyah piped up as she snuggled into her brother's Portugal sweatshirt.

"Me too, Liyah, me too. He's gonna look weird because he's gonna have a bit of facial hair" Elle, giggled followed by, Aaliyah.

"Oh goodness. He's gonna look a bit creepy. I just know it. Do you think he's gonna get through this all? Like do you think he'll ever recover from this?" Aaliyah, asked, Elle, as she looked down. Elle, looked at, Aaliyah before speaking, "he's the strongest person I know. I know he can and I know he will. I'll beat his ass if he doesn't." The two giggled.

As the two kept sharing funny stories about, Shawn, they stopped as they heard the front door open. Elle, allowed, Aaliyah, to run to her older brother. She jumped into his arms, as he picked her up off of her feet, and spun around, planting kisses all over his baby sister.

Once he was finished, he dropped his bags and ran to see, Elle. Elle, jumped, wrapping her short legs around his tall torso, hugging him as tears flooded from both of their eyes.

"I'm so glad you're back. Don't ever leave me again. Please. I need you. I'll always need my best friend" Elle, sobbed into, Shawn's, neck. Shawn spoke softly near her ear, "I'm not going anywhere, Elle. I promise you that. I love you." "I love you too." Elle, sniffled out.
