I felt so much relieved.
Telling everything about the whole Clark Mason about his cousin's plan and the almost rape part Lily made our friendship much more closely that she even went ballistic calling the school's prince all sorts of words her fragile mouth can also say. She even lost her respect with Heather because like her cousin both are just wearing masks to hide their ugly faces.
Lily spend time with me that it turned dark and had to go home. When one of her dads came to pick her up, I stayed in my room looking at the syllabus Mrs. Bloomfield had given to us at the start of the school, and my eyes were on the page about the end of the year musical play.
Tomorrow is the auditions for the main cast and Lily had suggested that I should take on the role for Jasmine because she has confidence that with my singing voice I would make a perfect princess.
But, that is the problem.
I'm no princess, not even a lady with the whole black wardrobe looking like the grim reaper. Couldn't we do something that I can fit my role as the dead girl everyone sees me as? Wizard of Oz I could play as the Wicked Witch wearing all green skin and black clothing because I'm so envious of the world I should crush it with my hands. It's too late for that now.
I exhaled sharply when I heard a tap. "What is it, Ares?" I called out to my door, but then I remembered he went out and when I hard the tap again following the sound it lead me to my window.
I looked through my window into the dark streets of the neighborhood. When I couldn't see anything, I had to open them and scan a closer look around the front yard.
"Aphrodite," My ears picked up a whisper. I wonder my eyes around looking for the voice when a figure by the tree stepped out I was about to call the police but let loose of the tension when it was just Logan.
"Logan?" I called back to him. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with your brothers."
He was in full view underneath the street lights holding a motorcycle helmet on his side that had me look for the ride parked in his driveway. "I came to see if you are alright," he said as he was in front of my window.
"You don't need to do that," I whispered. "I'm perfectly fine."
"Why are you whispering?"
"Because you were," I argued.
"That is because..." He looked over his shoulders side to side and back t me. "Your sister is not home right?"
I shook my head. "No, she is has overnight shift at the nursing home. I know you didn't become a stalker and ask if my sister is home. What is the real reason why you are here? Shouldn't you be with some other girl." I walked away with a grunt as I heard Logan climb inside through the window which made me stupid not to close it before, now he is inside my room.
"Are you going to start this again?" I heard an irritated tone in his voice, and I had it. Grabbed the leather jacket he lent me and threw it at his face.
"Here," I snapped. "Give it so some other girl who looks better than I do."
Logan groaned as I sat back on my desk starting working on the history paper due tomorrow and I had no time to deal with him.
"Aphrodite," he leans his body to my side, with one palm on my desk, and the other on the back of my chair trying to Rico Suave me to look at him but my fingers were already typing on my laptop I did not want to stop and get his full attention. "Aphrodite."
I paused for a second then continue to type. I was typing fast but once he rolled my name into his delicious chocolate voice got my words to mix up that I was typing nonsense instead of talking about WWII.
