"Oh my god, Effie," Thea was the first to embrace me with her fragile-yet strong arms. She squeezes me. "I'm so glad you're okay."

Everyone who burst through those doors shocked me that they all waited for me to wake up. Seeing all of their faces warms my heart.

"How long was I out?" I asked.

"Three days," Ares replied.

Three days!

No wonder I felt so weak, and my hair smells like I haven't bathed in years, which is gross.

Thea was squeezing me tighter. I gasped for air. "Thea, I can't breath."

Thea did not answer but only felt her body shaking uncontrollably; I know it was not the pregnancy but her fear of losing her baby sister and another family member.

I rubbed her back and laid my head on hers as she cried softly.

"I was so worried about you," she sniffled and pulled back. Her silver eyes were moist with tears. "When Clark told us that his cousin is back and explained how obsessed she was with Logan, I knew right then something bad was happening."

I looked over at Clark, who was behind everyone standing at the door, unable to make eye contact with me.

I bet he's ashamed of what his cousin did to me.

I look at my body in wrapped bandages around my abdomen and left arm where I was shoot. I placed my hand over the wound and started remembering that horrendous event with Heather. It was like yesterday she had gone blood-shot mad that I stole Logan from her. Then I saw her get shot in the head was something I would never think to see. Just the thought of a small hole piercing through her head made me sick to my stomach.

But then, I feel sorry for her.

"You had fractured ribs, a few new cuts, and a gunshot wound. The doctor had your injuries treated. I cleaned them for you and changed the bandages."

"Thanks, Thea."

"Liam also told me about your psychiatrist scandal with her," she continued, wiped her tears, and blew a sigh. "Can you believe that bitch threatened him to kill his daughter if he didn't do what she said?"

"Newton has a daughter?"

"Yeah," Liam stepped forward from the crowd and handed me an iPad with a picture of a beautiful little girl about six or seven with brown-blonde hair and brown eyes in front of her parents with a smile on her face. As I look closer, she looks like Newton. "It seems that he had an affair with one of his married clients that are about to fall apart because the husband is always working and cheating on the wife years ago. I found out that his daughter is an heiress. She is the daughter of a wealthy couple from New York who owns a multi-million fashion magazine company. Heather knew and wanted to blackmail the doc into helping her be released from the facility and ask to do things like change her face and convince everyone that she's his niece."

"So, what happens now that Heather and Newton are dead? Won't the police find out?" I got worried about looking at Logan, who didn't say a word but knew the answer. "How did you guys ever find me?"

Athena then glances at Ares; they look at each other back and forth to see who will tell their baby sister who almost lost her life - twice. It was the same look she had when I awoke in a hospital bed that day — my heart racing with concern. "Thea," I called to her in a stern tone.

"Hey, don't look at me. You're the eldest." Ares pointed to our sister, not wanting to explain.

"Before we answer the first two questions," she sighed, facing me. "I'll tell you how Terry and the boys found you. If the others had gone with Logan, he would have had a backup. Anyways, because-"
