Unspoken Secrets
Chapter Fourteen"richie," a too familiar voice slurred in richie's ear. richie's eyes opened rapidly, he looked up, his head throbbing. his mom stood above him, her eyes bloodshot.
richie's mother threw a paper at him. "c-can you go to the... s.. store for me? i need.... this medicine." she said between hiccups.
richie shut his eyes tightly, pain erupting through his drained body.
"RICHIE!"
"y..yes! i will." richie replied, grabbing onto the counter and pulling himself up. he looked over at his drunk mother, who was already wobbling around, looking for the way out of the room.
his mother's drunkness would usually make richie shed a tear, but he was used to it by now. she never did anything else but drink. and even though richie feared her death, he pretended to not care. his mother had never done good for him anyways.
so, as his body ached, he began walking. he looked down at the ground, blood staining the carpet floor and his glasses shattered beside it.
"shit." he muttered, picking them up. he set them on his face anyways and grabbed his phone and the paper his mother threw at him.
richie then walked as carefully as he could down the stairs and out the door. the wind blew in his face fiercely. he looked down at his shoes, shutting his eyes tightly. he tried to forget everything he had done, but it was so hard. everything was too hard to process.
but he kept walking. he just kept walking.
"i need to clear my mind," stanley said, looking up at bill, who was sitting on the other side of his bed. "can we take a walk?"
"a-are y-you sure that's a g-good idea?" bill asked, reluctant to stanley's idea, but afriad it would backfire. "w-we might s-see..."
stanley looked down. "please?"
bill finally nodded. "fine." he said, and stanley looked up at him with bright eyes and a big smile. "c-come on, cutie." he grabbed stanley's hand and they walked out of the house together.
stanley and bill, hand in hand, looked at each other. their faces were a deep shade of red, but smiles were placed perfectly on their faces.
"s-so..." bill mumbled. "do you want to talk about.."
"no." stanley said, interrupting bill immediately. "please, no." he looked down, his body beginning to shake.
"oh-okay." bill said. "i'm sorry."
stan looked up, his eyes glossed over with tears. "it's okay." he said, then looked down and continued to walk.
richie walked down the sidewalk, the drugstore only a few miles away. his body was in extreme pain, and he found himself limping every few steps. he could feel the stares of people around him. he knew he looked a mess, he hadn't even changed clothes or wiped the blood off of him before he left.
richie felt his phone buzz. he pulled his phone out of his pocket. 38 missed calls from Eds❤️. he quickly shoved it into his pocket and continued walking.
he was sure his eyes were bloodshot because of how sore they were. he stopped for a moment, breathing slowly.
"fuck." he whispered to himself. he saw henry bowers just on the other side of the street. and as fast as he could, he got to the drugstore and walked in.
stanley looked at bill, his cheeks growing pink. even though stanley had been through so much, he was sure of one thing. he was and would always be in love with bill.
