~Chapter 3~

-I'll be moving out today...

He sighed softly as he walked to his room, probably to take his bags and leave.

-H..hey Kyle..!
-uh?

I turned around, facing the cheetah running up to me, holding a paper in his hand, taking a stop in front of me he give me the paper, it was neatly folded. I unfolded it and read what was written on it, my heart. beating loudly
"You are the light in my shadows,  I want us to be more than only friends, will you be, my boyfriend"
I couldn't help but smile softly as I looked at him, he was blushing madly, a single tear in his eyes. I leaned down slightly toward his face, wiping away his tear before hugging him tightly in my arms as I kissed the top of his head.
-Yes..I'll be your boyfriend Eric.
-I love you kyle...
-I love you too.
~~~~~one year later~~~~~~
I was walking down the hall, holding the piece of paper he gave me that day, tears slowly falling from my eyes as I finally saw him, alone. I walked up to him, tightening my grip on the paper. He whimpered softly as he looked at me, fear in his eyes.
-I-I'm sorry! Please don't hurt!
-. . .

Around us, there was nothing left but the empty feelings between us.
-I trusted you... And you go and cheat on me with Duke?!

I heard rapid footstep behind me but before I could turn around I was hit on the back of my head with something heavy, stumbling to the floor as my eyelids felt heavy. Where am I...? My eyelids feel heavy.. I feel like I am floating, I can't breath but I am not suffocating.
-Our...
I can barely hear the voice coming from behind me, I slowly open my eyes, my vision blurry, all I can see is a fist heading toward me quickly. I don't have a second to react before it connect with my cheek, I can feel myself falling on the cold floor, a red mass forming under me.
-Our...
I try sitting up but I am suddenly stopped as a foot is pressed against my back, pushing me down. I don't have the energy to scream anymore.
-Our prey...
I close my eyes as I feel something being wrapped around my neck tightly and lifting me up from the floor, I can only hope it will end soon.
-Our..prey!
I suddenly open my eyes, a terrible headache pulsing to life as I push who ever was holding me away, my vision becoming clear and sharp as I stare at who was standing before me, Duke Ouin, as if is name matter anyway. I shake my head, blood still leaking from my head, cheek,  arm and neck. I growl softly as they all stare at me, and honestly, it is getting on my nerves. I can barely see the knife coming toward me as one of them try to cut me open, but I was more quick than them, grabbing their arm and throwing them over me as if they weighted nothing. A loud howl escaped my lips as I feel my tail growing, suddenly and in a bloody mess, it split in nine smaller tails, all covered in blood.
-Our prey...
The words came out of my maw without me wanting to, I wasn't in control anymore, he was. Everyone stared at me, fear in their pathetic eyes, and suddenly, reality hit them as they started screaming, running away, only one staying where they stood, I felt no fear in them. I turned around, facing them and when I met their eyes I stopped dead in my track, and as if I was a little pup, who had been grounded I felt on all four, slowly walking toward the person, rubbing my cheek against their leg, as if I was asking for forgiveness. I felt their hand on my head as they kneeled in front of me,  they whispered words to me. I felt my tails become one again as tears slowly fell from my tired eyes, I wanted to cry, and with her I knew I could and that's what I did, I cried. I felt her arms around me in a soft hug, rubbing one hand on my back as I kept on crying. What had I become..?
-It's fine Kyle... I am here..
-Hoshi...... save...me...
I heard slow footstep behind us, I didn't had to see him, I recognized his smell.
-Kyle... I'm sorry..

I heard Hoshiko hissing at him, obviously now hating him.
-You are the cause of this! Leave now!

She spoke with such anger in her voice that it frightened me.
-You know what, fuck you all, you bunch of weirdos!

And with that he walked out of my life...or I hoped so.
~~~~~Present time~~~~~

-You okay there bud..?
-Yeah..

After Eric had left the dorm I called Hoshi, she was now hugging me tightly as I tried to hold back the tears, feeling weak but I didn't cared. I could be weak, pathetic or whatever in front of Hoshi without feeling judged.
-Hey I might have something that will cheer you up!

She suddenly said in my ear, a bit too loudly, looking up at her I tilted my head to the side, giving her that "What is it?" face.
-Your brother will be our new roommate!

It took me a few second before realising what she said, I smiled weakly as I sighed softly, now the dorm will be full of people I trust, it was going for the best.
