GD stood in front of the door with the palm of his hands dripping from sweat. He gave one last look at Crimson and his head whipped back to the door after another series of knocks sounded. The girl turned around and frantically concealed her knife from plain sight.
He yanked the door open and about to take out the gun hidden in his back until he saw a friendly face smiling at him.
"Room service," Crimson's ears perked up at the sound of the familiar voice.
GD asked the staff to roll down the trolley to one of the tables where he would set the food down. The refreshing aroma of the newly-cooked food made Crimson inhale deeply. She closed her eyes, savouring the delicious smell coming from the tray up top the trolley. While she was busy enjoying the smell, GD initiated a friendly conversation with the staff.
"You're new here, right? I haven't seen you before. Jeff sent you?" he grabbed his wallet and fished out the tip for the worker.
"Yes, sir. It's my first day here," the man's voice sounded firm and a little too forced. Crimson noticed it immediately so she turned around, facing the two gentlemen.
