Part ten
I woke up shaking. The room wasn't cold. I kept on having this dream that Ricky wasn't there, and when I would wake up, I wouldn't feel him next to me. He was turned over, scooted a little farther than my reach, on the bed.
The final time I had this dream it actually finished. It was like a terrible film. One that actually shook me up. It was around 2:00 am , and I felt a rush come over me. I didn't know if I should reach over to see if Ricky was there, or not. He wasn't close to me, like he was when I went to sleep. I stretched my left arm out, and felt his back.
He sat up so quick, I thought he was going to fall over. He turned to me. I had my face covered by my hands. I was crying. I was crying from the twisted dream I just had. I was shaken out of my fucking mind. This never happens. It takes a lot for a dream to shake me so much that I would cry.
He pulled me up, and put me in his lap. I was facing him. He uncovered my face, by taking my wrists, and leading them away from my face.
He looked a little scared, to why I was crying. He wiped my tears, and asked what happened.
"I had a bad dream. That's all." I answered.
"No Ashlyn. You had something more than a bad dream. You're crying you don't cry like this from a bad dream. I know you too well for you to say that. Please talk to me about it." He replied.
"It was the waitress. She took you away from me. She had sex with you, even though I was still with you. You cheated on me with her. You wanted her, not me. I walked in on you and her. I felt like you just shot me." I whispered.
I was sobbing into his chest, and he had his arms around me. He pulled me back, and looked at me.
"Stop. Stop. It's okay. I would never do that. I told you that I don't want her. I'd tell you that a million times if it kept you from thinking about that. The last thing I want to do is hurt you okay? You've gotten hurt enough the past few months. The last thing you need to do is beat yourself up even more." He paused. "Ashlyn. Look at me. I love you. I will always love you. Don't you ever forget that." He finished and hugged me tight for a minute. He let me cry a little bit more, and we laid like we did earlier, and we fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up to Ricky drawing circles on my back with his fingers. I was facing his chest. I looked up, and he was watching TV. I scooted up, and put my face in his neck. I kissed his neck, and I felt him smile. I trailed the kisses to his mouth, and said "Good Morning."
He put me in his lap, and just held me. He let go after awhile, and I got up. I went to the bathroom, and brushed my teeth. I took a quick shower, and got dried off. Ricky went to go take his shower. About 10 minutes later.
I had on a tank top, and some underwear. I felt someone grab me from behind, and spin me around. I looked up and it was Ricky.
He kissed me, and said "It won't be long. Then me and you are going to have some fun. Okay?" I nodded in agreement. I wondered what we were doing. I put on a simple outfit (a thin black muscle tee with skulls on the sides, some light blue jeans with holes in them, and some solid black vans.)
Ricky came back in my room with his hair all wet, but still dressed. He put his hands through the slits of my shirt, and hugged me.
"What's on the agenda today?" I asked looking up at him.
"Whatever you want to do." He said.
That was still so different to me. Chris was the first person to always say that to me, when it was just me and him of course. I thought about it for a moment, and said "Let's get away for one day."
"What do you mean 'get away'?" Ricky asked suspiciously.
"Just me and you. Not having a care in the world. Drive around down town. Have some fun. Go to a a record shop or two." I paused and looked at the necklace I still had on from when Ricky gave it to me. "Go where ever we want. Just as long as we have each other." I finished.
"If that's what you want to do. Then we'll do it." He said with a smile.
We got done getting ready, and we were off. Ricky was driving, and I had his right hand in my left. We listened to music from my phone. It was so loud. We got stares but didn't care. We got to a little antique shop, and went in. I saw cute little jewelry pieces, and would look at them in aw. I found a little charm that my mother used to wear all the time.
I kept looking at it, and felt my eyes water a little. Ricky came over and said "What happened? Ash? Are you okay?" He was concerned. I nodded my head, and put the charm down. We left after a little while, and walked around the strip.
We came across a video game shop, and I couldn't resist.
"Ricky can we go in here? Please?" I asked him.
He nodded with a smile.
The store wasn't busy. So most of the games were open. I saw a game boy color. I lost it. I needed it. It was the only color I didn't have. It was a baby pink one. I asked the cashier how much, and he said $80. I put the money down on the counter, and said I'll take it.
The guy gave me the game boy, and me and Ricky left.
We came across a coffee shop, and we went in. It was empty. Ricky got our coffees, and we sat down on a couch in the back. I had my hand in Ricky's and we sat there talking.
We ended up staying there until 8:00. I didn't even realize how long we'd been there until I looked at my phone. We got off the couch, and walked to Ricky's car. We decided to go get some dinner. We went to a little diner that sold anything and everything it seemed.
When the waitress would come I would tense up, as if it was the waitress from the other restaurant. Ricky noticed that I was doing that.
"Ash it's okay. She's not here. I promise you that she's not here." He assured me.
I nodded with hesitation.
We got done eating and went to Ricky's house. There was another car that I had never seen before.
"Who's car is that?" I asked a little scared.
"That's my dad's car. Don't worry. My mom has been filling him in about everything." He explained.
We got out, and we walked into his house. His mom and dad were in the living room, and he led the way to meet his parents both at the same time.
"Mom. Dad this is Ashlyn Grey." He introduced me.
"Well Rick you have a very pretty lady with you. She's absolutely the girl for you son." He said.
I felt uncomfortable yet comfortable at the same time. I shook his dad's hand, and Ricky led the way to his room.
He closed the door, and I sat on his bed. He climbed on top of me. He kissed me. He pulled away, and rolled over, bringing me on top of him. He kissed me again. He had his hands running up, and down my back. I hand my fingers running through his hair. He was starting to take off my shirt, and I pulled back.
"Not yet." I said with a smile. I put my head down in his shoulder.
"Sorry. I got a little carried away." He said with a chuckle. Then he let out a sigh, as if he thought I didn't enjoy what just happened.
"What's wrong?" I asked looking up concerned.
"Nothing. I was just thinking." He said.
"About what?" I questioned with a smile.
"About what could've happened if we kept going." He paused. "I mean we would've had sex if we kept going. If you didn't stop me from what I was doing, I would've gotten you into something you didn't want to happen." He finished. "You probably didn't really enjoy it anyways." He added with a annoyance tone in his voice.
"What the hell do mean I probably didn't enjoy it? That was one of the best moments I just had with you." I said. I climbed on top of his legs, and he sat up. "Ricky what makes you think that I don't enjoy, any moment with you. That I've had with you ever since I first met you. When you kiss me it's like an unspeakable feeling that shuts me up. Whenever you hug me, I instantly feel safe. When my dad hurt you. I thought you were gone. I thought I'd never be able to feel the way I feel right now. So what you just did a few minutes ago could've have been heaven with a a little bit of hell. Not a lot but a little. You said it yourself if I had your child you'd be the happiest man alive. If I had your baby I would never want to leave you. Ever." I said.
He looked at me surprised. His grip around my body tightened, and he pulled me into a kiss. It wasn't gentle it was one of his hard, rough kisses. The ones that took my breathe away.
He pulled back, and said "I never knew that's how you felt. I always thought you hated it when I got carried away." I shook my head, and we were back into the kiss.
We eventually stopped kissing, and watched some TV. Ricky fell asleep first which was unusual, but I didn't mind. I watched him for a little bit. I started feeling drowsy, and laid my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me in his sleep. That put a smile on my face. I knew that everything was going to be okay. I had the necklace grasped in one hand when I fell asleep.
After that it was all a blur. I don't remember the dream, just remembered the night that I had with Ricky. The most amazing night of my life so far.
