Chapter ten

Matthew's POV
Hello I am Matthew James and I am forty five years old. I have a lovely wife named Sapphire, she is very beautiful and I don't have any children because my wife could not conceive, this made her devastated when she heard this,she cried almost every day but I still loved her. Anyways on with the story.
As I heard a scream I turned to find out where it came from when I saw my princess Isadora roll down the stairs with her fragile body in a strange position because of the fall and pain.
My wife hurriedly left my side with tears running uncontrollably from her eyes to her rosy cheeks and went to see if she was fine with me trailing behind her. The sight was not what I wanted to see because my wife was holding her head which had a big gash and blood was streaming down from her head to her beautiful face. She had a confused face on like she wanted to ask what was wrong but she could not because her eyes started dropping and my wife started calling her name and saying she should keep her eyes open but she just closed her eyes she looked extremely tried and in so much pain right now. I yelled at someone to call the ambulance, she was losing too much blood and was now turning pale.
"Who did this, get the guards and tell them to bring the video tape of what happened when she left us." I said telling one of my guards.
"Where is the ambulance she is going to die if they don't come quickly." My wife said.

Later that night
The ambulance came and took her from my wife who was shaking vigorously and crying. We followed behind them after cancelling the rest of the party, we were about to leave when I saw a girl with blood on her hands but I shrugged it off because my main concern is my daughter.
We arrived at the hospital and she was taken to the ICU immediately for surgery as she needed blood urgently, my wife was just sitting there crying silently and staring at the wall blankly.
"Hey its okay she is going to be alright."I said kissing the crown of her head and pulling her into a hug.
"What if she's not, what if she does not make it, I can't lose her because I just had a chance of becoming a mother and she was already opening up to me. She trusted me and I broke it by not taking care of her properly. She was always sad and lonely, some nights I would watch her secretly, she would just sit on her bed looking at the wall. I am really a bad mother." She said while crying harder. I wanted to say something but the doctor came in.
"Hello, I assume your her parents, is that right." He said.
"Yes we are her parents." I answered.
"Well can I talk to you in private. There are some things I want to discuss with you." With that he led us to an office and told us to have a sit.
"You see the surgery went well we were able to stabilize her for now she is okay but I have to inform you of something really important. Is there a chance you daughter was abused because we saw signs of it and also she has scars on her back like she has being whipped before. Also some of her ribs are broken so she will have to use a brace and there is a possibility that she will not be able to walk if she wakes up because of the fall, she had a concussion during the surgery, which was as a result of a swell in the brain. And I am sorry to say this but she entered a coma after the surgery. I am really sorry."
I could not believe what I heard with my ears, my princess was abused and I did not know also she is in a coma, why would someone do such a thing to her and who pushed her down the stairs. I turn to look at my wife and she just in shock like I am.

"C-can we see her. Please doctor." My wife said while stuttering and I couldn't help but feel so angry at myself for not protecting my daughter and the fact that my wife is sad.

Well here is another update I hope you like it. I am really sad that she is in a coma but anywho the story must go on even if it is every sad.
